Amazon confirms Prime Big Deal Days 2025 for 7-8 October as two-day Prime member sale
Event will run two days with discounts across appliances, tech and household items; Prime membership or free trial required

Amazon has scheduled its 2025 Prime Big Deal Days for 7-8 October, confirming a two-day, Prime member–exclusive sales event that mirrors the format used last year.
The company said the October event will offer discounts across categories including coffee machines, air fryers, beauty and household essentials, with deals intended to attract early holiday shoppers as well as customers restocking everyday items. Amazon has not released a full list of promotions in advance.
Amazon has expanded its calendar of sales in recent years, staging several sitewide discount events rather than a single annual Prime Day. In addition to the March early deals and the main Prime Day in July, the October Big Deal Days function as a pre-Black Friday event. Retail analysts and deal trackers say customers should expect heavy promotions on Amazon-owned devices and popular small appliances, although not every marked discount will represent the lowest price of the year.
The October Big Deal Days are limited to Amazon Prime members. Customers who are not currently paying for Prime can still participate by enrolling in a 30-day free trial, provided they have not used a recent trial. After the free-trial period ends, the standard subscription rate quoted by Amazon is £8.99 per month in the United Kingdom; users may cancel before the trial expires to avoid being charged.
Buyline, the Daily Mail’s deals team, said it will monitor the event and publish curated roundups highlighting discounts the editors consider worthwhile. The team advised shoppers that some offers seen during Amazon events have been deeper in prior sales such as July Prime Day or Black Friday, and that not every marked-down product represents the best available price.
Items that sold strongly during last year’s Prime Day underscore the types of products likely to reappear on offer. Amazon’s Fire TV Stick 4K was among the bestsellers after a reported £30 reduction that brought the price to £59.99. Audio and personal-tech items such as Apple AirPods Pro 2 also saw limited discounts, with a reported sale price near £199. Home and cleaning appliances that were popular sellers included Eufy’s G50 robot vacuum, advertised around £138.99, and household consumables such as an eight-pack of Oral-B toothbrush heads, reported at about £14.75. Amazon’s Echo Pop was discounted to approximately £19.99 during prior events.
Deal experts caution shoppers to evaluate offers carefully. Some categories, such as mattresses, often present stronger incentives when purchased directly from manufacturers, which may offer longer trial periods, bundled perks or larger discounts. Limited-time “lightning” deals can create urgency but do not always deliver the deepest savings. Editors also warn that Amazon’s internal bestseller rankings reflect purchase volume, not independent quality assessments, and therefore should not be the sole basis for buying decisions.
Buyline said it will focus on identifying genuinely valuable discounts on tried-and-tested products, citing common category targets that have performed well in past sales: robotic vacuums, air fryers (including dual-drawer models), and coffee machines such as Nespresso. Amazon’s own devices, including streaming sticks and smart speakers, historically receive routine markdowns during these events.
Amazon’s refusal to publish comprehensive deal lists ahead of each event means shoppers will need to monitor promotions as they appear. Retailers and third-party sellers also commonly time promotions around Amazon’s calendar, which can broaden the range of available offers during October’s event. Prices mentioned in reports published before and during the sale are subject to change; media outlets and deal teams typically note when price checks were performed.
The October Big Deal Days continue Amazon’s strategy of spreading promotional traffic across multiple annual events. For consumers weighing participation, the combination of a short free trial and historically deep discounts on selected categories will likely make the two-day October event an important shopping window, while editorial teams and price trackers aim to help distinguish the stronger offers from less advantageous reductions.
