Amazon sets Prime Big Deal Days for Oct. 7-8, 2025, and rolls out early member discounts
The two-day October sale requires Prime membership; Amazon and retailers typically offer deep discounts on tech, beauty and home goods
Amazon said Tuesday that Prime Big Deal Days 2025 will run from Tuesday, Oct. 7, through Wednesday, Oct. 8, continuing the company’s fall shopping event that mirrors the spring Prime Day format. The company confirmed that the sale will be limited to Prime members, though new customers can enroll in a 30-day free trial to access deals.
The announcement included no immediate breakdown of participating brands or specific promotions, but Amazon said the event will bring widespread markdowns across electronics, beauty, home and other categories. Prime Big Deal Days has in past years featured time-limited "lightning" deals, member-only coupons and limited-quantity discounts that move quickly once the sale opens.
Retailers such as Walmart, Best Buy and Target have historically offered overlapping sales during Amazon’s October event, and analysts expect the major chains to again roll out competitive promotions. Amazon’s October event is generally viewed as complementary to Black Friday, with both periods delivering steep markdowns on high-demand items; Prime’s member-only features have been a distinguishing element of the company’s events.
Page Six’s commerce team said Amazon’s deals page is already populated with early discounts ahead of the Oct. 7 start. Among the items highlighted as early savings were Apple’s AirPods Pro 2 and AirPods Max, both showing notable price cuts in some listings. Other early markdowns called out by Page Six include home appliances, beauty products and apparel that have gained traction on Amazon Live sessions and social media.
Page Six noted several products favored by celebrities and influencers that are discounted ahead of the official event. The list included a Medicube PDRN Pink Collagen Gel Mask, which Page Six reported Kyle Richards praised during an Amazon Live segment; L'Oréal Paris True Match Lumi Glotion, singled out by other industry figures for its glow-enhancing effect; a Trendy Queen cropped cardigan favored by lifestyle influencers; and a Bissell CrossWave OmniForce wet-dry vacuum that has drawn unsolicited praise on social platforms.
Also highlighted were reusable silicone cover-ups from Hollywood Fashion Secrets and Grace & Stella energizing eye masks, both items that have circulated in celebrity livestreams and social posts, according to Page Six. The commerce outlet said some of those items are already available at reduced prices ahead of Prime Big Deal Days.
Amazon’s confirmation of dates gives shoppers time to plan purchases and allows competitors to time counter-promotions. For consumers who are not Prime members, the 30-day trial provides temporary access to member-only deals, though Amazon’s terms require a paid membership after the trial period unless it is canceled.
The Oct. 7-8 event continues a pattern of Amazon staging a large-scale fall sale separate from the traditional November holiday-shopping window. Market watchers and retailers will be watching for the depth and breadth of discounts, inventory availability and any exclusive product launches tied to the event.
