Amazon sets Prime Big Deal Days for Oct. 7-8, 2025, and unveils early discounts
Two-day event will kick off the holiday shopping season with member-only deals across electronics, home goods and more

Amazon said Tuesday that Prime Big Deal Days will take place Oct. 7–8, 2025, a 48-hour sales event that opens the holiday shopping season with exclusive discounts for Prime members.
The company said the promotion will offer markdowns across categories including electronics, home goods, kitchen appliances, toys and travel items. Amazon encouraged shoppers to prepare by joining Prime, creating wish lists and setting Deal Alerts in the Amazon app to be notified when items go on sale. New members can begin a 30-day free trial to access member-only prices.
Amazon and retailers increasingly use fall sales to jump-start holiday shopping, and Prime Big Deal Days is positioned as an early alternative to Black Friday and Cyber Monday. The company highlighted that Lightning Deals, which run for short windows during the event, can sell out quickly and that app notifications and pre-populated wish lists can help shoppers secure limited-quantity offers.
Ahead of the Oct. 7 start, Amazon has rolled out a slate of early deals. Among the items promoted are a Ninja air fryer and toaster oven discounted to $229.99 from $329.99 — a roughly 30% reduction — which Amazon describes as cooking up to 30% faster than a standard convection oven and accommodating a 12-pound turkey. A 21-piece pots-and-pans set with removable handles was listed at $59.98 from $139.99, about a 51% discount. A Threadmill luxury blanket was shown at $54.78, down about 44% from its $97.99 price.

Other early promotions include a three-piece hardside luggage set for $69.99 (about 30% off), a kitchen knife set for $17.98 (about 64% off), and a 24-piece black stainless-steel flatware set for $18.99 (about 30% off). Coffee and streaming accessories were also featured: a Nespresso De'Longhi VertuoPlus was listed at $174.30 (roughly 30% off) and an Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K was priced at $29.99 (about 40% off).
Consumer electronics and health-tracking devices on sale in the early slate included a MagSafe-compatible iPhone wireless charger pack for $13.65 (about 38% off) and a Samsung Galaxy Ring for $269.99 (about 33% off). Home networking equipment such as a Wi-Fi range extender was advertised at $44.99, down about 44% from $79.99.

Amazon has made its Prime membership central to these seasonal sales strategies, offering free-trial access to entice new subscribers who want to shop member-only bargains. The company has increasingly relied on concentrated sales periods to drive volume and subscriptions ahead of the holiday quarter.
Retail analysts say such early fall events can shift consumer spending forward and compress peak-season demand, though they also create more frequent promotional periods across the retail calendar. Amazon's announcement follows similar moves by other major retailers that have extended promotional calendars into the fall to capture early holiday spending.
Amazon did not provide a full list of all promotional items or the schedule of Lightning Deals in its announcement. Shoppers interested in the event can monitor the Amazon app and Amazon.com for updated deals and timing as Oct. 7 approaches. Fox News compiled the initial list of highlighted early offers.
