TIME seeks world's top GreenTech companies for 2026 in partnership with Statista

TIME is launching the second annual World's Top GreenTech Companies ranking for 2026 in partnership with Statista, expanding TIME's climate-tech coverage with a global benchmark for leadership in sustainable technology. The effort also includes the third annual America's Top GreenTech Companies ranking. The lists recognize the most innovative, impactful, and successful companies whose work aims to reduce human impact on the environment. TIME and Statista say they are accepting applications during the research phase, but an application does not guarantee a spot on either list, and the final rankings are not limited to applicants. To apply, click here. More information is available at www.statista.com/page/top-greentech-companies.

TIME and Statista said the evaluation will consider a company's technology or product, its business model, sustainability outcomes, and potential for scale. The world ranking is designed to reflect a global mix of GreenTech firms addressing environmental challenges across multiple sectors. The America ranking will spotlight U.S.-based GreenTech companies that demonstrate leadership in their domestic market and in export-oriented opportunities.

Winners of America's Top GreenTech Companies will be announced on TIME.com in March 2026, followed by the World ranking in June 2026, also on TIME.com. The research phase underscores TIME's and Statista's commitment to spotlight innovative technologies that could reduce greenhouse gas emissions and resource intensity on a global scale. The organizers say the lists aim to surface companies at different stages of growth, from early-stage innovators to more established players, and to illuminate the pathways that could accelerate deployment and adoption.

Industry observers note that such rankings can raise visibility for climate-tech firms, attract partnerships and funding, and help buyers, policymakers, and investors identify leading solutions at a time when the global economy is intensifying efforts to decarbonize and conserve resources. TIME and Statista emphasize that the final lists will reflect rigorous due diligence and independent research, and that the lists are not limited to applicants. The initiative aligns with a broader push to catalog and celebrate innovations that could reshape energy, industry, agriculture, and mobility in the decades ahead.
