Becca Tobin: Glee Alum Expands Beyond TV with LADYGANG, IVF Journey and Family Milestones

Becca Tobin, best known for her run as Kitty Wilde on Fox’s Glee, kept the spotlight in focus this week as new photos surfaced from a public appearance. Tobin attended a Philips Lumea IPL launch event hosted by Philips Beauty, posing with her LADYGANG podcast co-hosts Jac Vanek and Keltie Knight. The Philips Lumea IPL device, which uses Intense Pulsed Light technology, is marketed as a convenient home hair-removal option and is now available exclusively on Amazon in the United States.

Tobin launched her screen career on Glee in 2012, joining the cast as a perky high-school cheerleader and rapidly becoming a recurring presence through the fourth season and beyond, alongside Lea Michele and Cory Monteith. Following Glee, she pursued a mix of television credits, including a guest arc on Lifetime’s Drop Dead Diva as Empress Katia, an appearance on ABC Family’s Mystery Girls, and a role on NCIS: Los Angeles. A graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City, Tobin has continued to build a varied entertainment resume while expanding into hosting and media projects.

Her career has also evolved in the realm of podcasting. Since December 2015, Tobin has co-hosted The LadyGang with Jac Vanek and Keltie Knight, a female-centric show that evolved into a television talk format when LadyGang premiered on the E! network in October 2018. The venture has helped Tobin maintain a prominent profile beyond on-screen acting while engaging audiences through a conversational platform focusing on style, pop culture, and wellness.

On the personal front, Tobin has spoken publicly about fertility challenges and family planning. In 2021 she revealed that she and her husband, Zach Martin, had begun fertility consultations and pursued embryo freezing after experiencing miscarriages. She has since described a mindset shift around fertility and the pressures that come with public speculation, especially when sharing news on platforms like People magazine in 2020. The couple later welcomed a son, Rutherford “Ford” Thomas Martin, in 2022 via surrogate, describing the moment as life’s “sweet” addition after years of navigating their fertility journey.

Tobin and Martin’s relationship story began in earnest in 2016, when the couple wed at the Amangani Resort in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, in a ceremony attended by several of Tobin’s former Glee castmates, including Michele, Jane Lynch, Kevin McHale, and Jenna Ushkowitz, among others. The wedding represented a milestone for Tobin personally and professionally, paralleling her ongoing involvement in entertainment and media projects. Her public remarks about fertility and surrogacy have contributed to broader conversations around family-building alternatives, a topic she has approached with candor on her podcasts and interviews.

Beyond her family life, Tobin has continued to maintain a visible presence in entertainment circles, including appearances on television programs and features that highlight her multifaceted career. Her work with LADYGANG and her continuing projects reflect a dynamic career arc that extends well beyond her breakout role on Glee. As the entertainment landscape evolves, Tobin’s blend of acting, hosting, and personal storytelling positions her as a sustained voice in Culture & Entertainment.
