Bianca Dye reveals boxing gloves gift from Kerri-Anne Kennerley and details on reality TV plans

Bianca Dye has revealed a wild moment from her early showbiz years: at her 30th birthday party in 2003, she crossed paths with Kerri-Anne Kennerley, who gave her boxing gloves and blunt career guidance. The Golden Bachelor Australia star, 52, spoke with Daily Mail at The Royce in Melbourne while attending a RoC Skincare product launch.

Bianca recalled telling Kennerley that she wanted to be her and to do her own show; Dye said the TV veteran warned that she would need much thicker skin to survive in the industry. 'She gave me a pair of boxing gloves for my 30th birthday,' Dye said, adding that she still keeps them. 'You're going to need these if you're going to work in this industry.'

Bianca Dye has had a varied career in showbusiness, including stints as an entertainment reporter on Mornings with Kerri-Anne and appearances on Beauty and the Beast, Thank God You're Here, Ready Steady Cook, Celebrity Dog School, Celebrity Singing Bee and Australia's Brainiest. She also built a radio career as a host of The Nitemix Across Australia in the late 1990s and as a foundation presenter at Nova 96.9 in Sydney, plus breakfast gigs at i98FM, 92.5 Gold FM, 97.3 FM and Sea FM 90.9.

On future reality TV, Dye said Nine has not approached her about becoming Australia’s first Golden Bachelorette, though she acknowledged she would love the chance. She also floated a potential run on The Amazing Race with close friend Regina 'Reggie Bird' Sorensen, joking that the duo would be hilariously on screen. Dye said she was once asked to join I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! as part of the reserves about six or seven years ago, with producers offering about $20,000 to go to South Africa as back-up talent. She turned it down at the time, noting that the program's structure then was different, and adding that she would have to push harder if given the chance in the future. She said a 2026 season could be possible if casting aligned.

Bianca Dye later appeared on the first season of The Golden Bachelor Australia, but was eliminated in episode five. She has leveraged her visibility into brand collaborations, including a RoC Skincare partnership tied to a new product launch this week—the Derm Correxion Firming Serum Stick, described by RoC as tightening the face and neck in seconds for dramatically firmer skin. Dye attended a cocktail party at The Royce in Melbourne to celebrate the launch, hosted by Real Housewives of Melbourne star Kyla Kirkpatrick.
