Big Brother unveils eye-popping Diary Room chair as 25th anniversary series returns
Colorful, eyeball-themed Diary Room chair and bold house design set the stage for a new era of surveillance in the iconic reality show.

Big Brother is returning this Sunday for its 25th anniversary, and the new series arrives with a striking set and an eye-themed Diary Room chair. The show marks the 25th anniversary of the original social experiment, and early previews suggest a bolder, more immersive backdrop than ever before.
First glimpse of the Diary Room chair reveals a circular design with multicolored stripes and a huge eyeball at the center, with smaller eyeballs arranged around the rim. The eyeball motif nods to the show's catchphrase 'Big Brother is always watching' and signals that the housemates will be under closer scrutiny than in recent seasons.
The walk up to the Diary Room is described as colorful, featuring red and turquoise paneling, bright lighting and a flashing-light door. The rest of the brand-new Big Brother house was unveiled as bold and eccentric, living up to decades of fan expectations.
One corridor is decorated with clashing orange and green stripes, leading into a living room that mixes purple carpets with blue and pink sofas and towering neon lighting overhead. The bedrooms are dramatic as well, with electric-blue velvet bed throws, domed ceilings and shelves stocked with eyeballs in varying sizes and materials, a constant reminder that Big Brother is always watching.
Elsewhere, a communal space features neon yellow flooring, striped blue chairs and vivid green doors, while the overall design embraces the full rainbow spectrum and beyond. The garden has also been redesigned, with new deckchairs set on AstroTurf overlooking the hot tub that sits at the center. A sheltered seating area includes a huge curved blue sofa for housemates to relax on, and a sizable Big Brother eye on the wall with a window looking out to either the outside world or an extra room. The garden also includes bright green and yellow wall panels, eyeball ornaments and a giant yellow hand.
At the center of it all is the eye motif, reimagined with a swirling iris and a sclera filled with intricate cogs and pipes, a fitting emblem for the show’s long-running legacy. The overall effect is a vibrant, almost chaotic backdrop intended to test contestants as much as the week-by-week challenges.
On Friday, AJ Odudu teased a series of twists and turns for the anniversary edition on Lorraine. Odudu, who co-hosts the reality format with Will Best, said fans could expect twists and turns galore, and that the launch show would feature something never seen before on the program, calling the moment iconic.
As the show prepares to air, producers emphasize that the house is more than a backdrop; it is part of the competition that shapes the week’s drama. Viewers will be watching not only for the contestants’ dynamics but for how the new design influences mood, strategy and tension inside the confinement.
Big Brother is scheduled to debut on Sunday, kicking off the 25th-anniversary run with a fresh, saturated look designed to amplify the series’ signature mix of strategy, alliance-building and social observation.
