Brave Bella Hadid emerges in Paris after Lyme disease hospitalization
The model, 28, was spotted in the City of Light a week after her mother shared hospital photos; she is reportedly recovering from a Lyme disease flare-up.

Bella Hadid, 28, was photographed in Paris on Wednesday, appearing to be on the mend after a Lyme disease flare-up that led to a hospitalization.
The model was seen in the City of Light wearing a brown trench coat over a white blouse and jeans, with bronze pointed-toe heels and white socks, and she carried a leather Coach Tabby bag as she strode the sidewalk. A headband pulled back her brown hair, completing a chic, understated look.
The sighting comes about a week after Yolanda Hadid posted emotional hospital photos of the model, who has publicly battled Lyme disease since 2013.
The posts showed Bella connected to IVs and, at one point, an oxygen machine. Yolanda, who has also been diagnosed with Lyme disease, wrote that watching her daughter struggle "in silence" has cut to the core of her, and she described the disease as "the invisible disability of chronic neurological Lyme disease" that is hard to explain. She called Bella a "survivor" and a "badass Warrior" and said she was proud of the fighter she is, promising to have her back every step of the way no matter how long it takes.
Alongside the hospital posts, Bella showed signs of improvement on her own timeline. She shared a video on Instagram Stories of herself walking on a treadmill on Wednesday, writing, "Just walking but still! Getting my stamina back," according to People, which noted the post as evidence of recovery.
Bella has been open about Lyme disease since she was diagnosed in 2013. In an August 2023 Instagram post, she acknowledged living with the condition, writing, "Living in this state, worsening with time and work while trying to make myself, my family and the people who support me, proud, had taken a toll on me in ways I can’t really explain." She added that being "sad and sick with the most blessings/privilege/opportunity/love around me" had been the most confusing thing ever.
Health advocates have noted that Lyme disease can become chronic and affect neurological function, underscoring the ongoing challenges faced by Bella and her family. The latest Paris sighting signals a cautious step in her recovery as she continues to balance a demanding schedule with her health.
The public attention surrounding Bella's health underscores the broader conversation about chronic Lyme disease and the pressures faced by public figures managing long-term illness, while fans continue to hope for steady improvement.
