Brooklyn Beckham brushes off feud rumors as he skips Inter Miami game in New York

Brooklyn Beckham has said he is not troubled by what he called rubbish chatter about his relationship with his parents, as he revealed he will miss Inter Miami’s game in New York to head back to Los Angeles after taking part in a Ryder Cup All-Star event in the New York area.

The 26-year-old, the eldest son of David and Victoria Beckham and a co-owner of Inter Miami, was part of the Ryder Cup Celebrity Match at Bethpage Black, where he teamed with former NBA star Toni Kukoc to face comedian Colin Jost and NFL quarterback Eli Manning. Inter Miami were set to play New York City FC about an hour west of the course on Wednesday night, and it was not clear whether his father would attend the game.

In a Daily Mail interview, Beckham said he was focused on his wife Nicola Peltz and keeping his own life private amid ongoing speculation about his family. "There’s always going to be people saying negative things but I have a very supportive wife. Me and her, we just do our thing, we just keep our heads down and work. And we’re happy," he said. He added that he does not worry about what is written or said about his private life and that he would rather play golf with friends and enjoy the moment.

Beckham acknowledged that the crowd in New York gave him some ribbing, saying, "They gave me a bit of rubbish but I kind of expected it - being in New York, going against Eli... they were just laughing. But it was amazing. I have a very supportive wife... and we’re happy." He noted that he had only been playing golf for a few weeks, describing the experience as nerve-wracking but also a cool, unique opportunity.

The outing comes amid persistent rumors of a feud between Beckham and his parents, with reports suggesting the Beckhams are not on speaking terms with Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz and that the couple’s vow renewal was not attended by the family. Brooklyn emphasized that he and Nicola are focusing on their own life together. "I left my wife with our four dogs on her own so I have to go back and help out and get back to work," he said, signaling a return to his professional and personal commitments.

The family last appeared publicly together on Boxing Day of the previous year, and no official confirmation has been given about ongoing negotiations, reconciliations, or future appearances. Beckham’s comments reflect a broader trend among high-profile athletes and entertainers who navigate public scrutiny while pursuing personal projects and family priorities. As the Ryder Cup events wrap, Brooklyn Beckham’s public remarks seem aimed at balancing fan interest with a private life that he says he intends to protect.
