California woman rents 12 highway billboards to find husband
41-year-old Lisa Catalano directs commuters to marrylisa.com in bid for lasting love

A 41-year-old California woman is turning to roadside advertising in a bid to find a husband, renting a dozen digital billboards along a busy highway to drive traffic to her own dating site. Lisa Catalano, who lives in the Silicon Valley region, says she has lost faith in dating apps and traditional paths and is willing to try something unorthodox to meet the right man.
Her billboards line Highway 101 from Santa Clara to San Francisco, and they began appearing on September 2, with a plan to reach daily commuters who pass by on their morning and evening drives, ABC7 reported. The campaign directs interested bachelors to marrylisa.com, where the site doubles as a comprehensive dating profile and narrative of Catalano's life and what she seeks in a partner.
Catalano, 41, describes her background on the site: she focused on school and career in her 20s; now she works as a self-employed content creator and vintage-clothes seller. In her 30s, she was in a long-term relationship that led to an engagement; her fiancé died in 2023 after a terminal illness. That loss, she says, left her unable to find another partner who was ready to settle down, marry, and have children.
The site emphasizes her mission: "Seeking the right man to start forever with," and she notes a goal of marriage and kids within two to three years. Beyond online outreach, she has distributed flyers and business cards to people she encounters in public to spark in-person introductions. She has kept the approach simple and direct, insisting she may take chances for a life partner. She would not disclose how much the campaign cost but says she hopes it will be worth it. The site invites bachelors to apply to date her and explains her preferences, including an age range of 35 to 45, an active lifestyle, and alignment on politics, religion, and values.
The campaign has already drawn attention on TikTok, where a video about her efforts went viral, and dozens of bachelors have applied to date her. Catalano says her campaign is real and that she is serious about finding love and starting a family in the near future.
