Caprice crowns herself 'Queen of Christmas' with new festive film and self-produced career
Former model and TV star releases A Scottish Christmas Secret on Channel 5 and launches JJLove Productions Ltd.

Caprice, 54, has released A Scottish Christmas Secret on Channel 5, her third festive film, while rebranding herself as the 'Queen of Christmas' as she turns away from what she calls a 'toxic' television career. The project marks the latest step in her shift toward self-produced work through JJLove Productions Ltd.
Daily Mail cameras captured Caprice in her West London home as she discussed the film and her broader move into producing, writing and acting on her own terms. She said she had long felt stereotyped by casting agents who offered only 'babe' roles, noting that she wanted to demonstrate to her children that she could graft and shape her own career. 'It was always the "babe" roles, but I was getting older, and I'm a mum now, I don't want to be "the babe" anymore,' she said. 'I still do shoots like Loaded every now and again, and that can be fun. With my movies and producing, I want my kids to be proud of the way I work.'
Caprice described how she turned to prayer for guidance on filmmaking, which she said helped spark a professional shift after meeting a producer on a set who agreed to collaborate with her. 'I've just been learning as I go and now I'm like a machine,' she mused. 'I do everything myself. I book plane tickets myself, I do scheduling myself, I do pre-production, all the locations, all the hotel bookings. It’s stressful but in a good way because I love being creative and I love my scripts. They're happy, they're about love and romance, and I'm a hopeless romantic at heart.'
In A Scottish Christmas Secret, Caprice plays Tiffany Bennett, a publisher who goes undercover in Scotland to convince a top author, Nathan (Alex Trumble), to finish his series. Patsy Kensit co-stars, and some scenes were filmed at Caprice's home, including in the famous swing in her living room. 'We had so much fun,' Caprice said. 'It's just so natural and the chemistry between the two of us—we were just laughing.'
Caprice said she enlisted her two sons for the project after they expressed an interest in acting, though they later decided not to pursue acting as a career. 'It was chaos!' she joked. 'But I was so proud of my sons.' She added that she supports their choice to keep a private life, saying, 'It's better to be private than to be this exposed.'
Looking ahead, Caprice is preparing another Christmas film, set to shoot January 23 in England, with locations in the Cotswolds, London and Birmingham. The project will also feature Abbie Quinnen, whom Caprice described as a 'great actress and gorgeous inside and out' in her feature-film role. Caprice stars in and executively produces A Scottish Christmas Secret, which airs on Channel 5 and My5. She emphasized that being a mother remains her top priority, followed by producing and acting in her own projects. 'The number one most important thing that I’m proud of is obviously being a mum,' she said. 'Then after that it’s producing and starring in my own movies. And not only doing that, but doing it successfully. I mean, it's a flex to be fair! I'm 54 years old and I've got an amazing husband, an amazing marriage. I've got my kids more than anything and everyone is healthy. Now I'm doing the thing that I love to do more than anything - I'm in my fifties playing the leading girl and producing. So if anything, don't be set back because you think you can't do something because of your gender or because of your age.'
