Cardi B details birth experiences as she anticipates fourth child while promoting Am I the Drama?
Rapper discusses delivery, recovery and upcoming tour during Breakfast Club appearance and CBS Mornings interview.

Cardi B opened up about the realities of childbirth during a recent promotional run for her sophomore album Am I the Drama? on The Breakfast Club in New York. The Bronx rapper, who is expecting her fourth child, described the birth of her second son Wave as 'too big — he broke me' as she discussed staying in shape for a tour. The interview came as Cardi B, 32, highlighted life with her three children and her evolving approach to motherhood while promoting the new project.
During the chat, Cardi B recalled her first birth, saying, 'The first one, I had to stitch.' When asked what she meant by stitching, the rapper replied, 'The cat,' referencing her vagina. She described how, in her words, her vagina 'ripped' during that delivery and noted that she is now 'more experienced' after having three kids.
She added that, with Wave turning four, she expects this fourth pregnancy to be easier than the last. Cardi said she worked out up until the final weeks of her third pregnancy, contributing to a quick recovery after welcoming her daughter. 'Like, the third one was so easy, so I’m expecting this one to be as easy as well, in the name of the Lord. That’s why I’m like, "I just did it last year. I can do it [again]."'
The rapper also confirmed that she shares Kulture, seven, Wave, four, and one-year-old Blossom with her estranged husband Offset. She used the phrase 'This is my fourth rodeo' as she discussed the upcoming baby and the timing ahead of the Little Miss Drama tour set to begin in February. Cardi spoke to CBS Mornings co-host Gayle King about the pregnancy announcement, saying she was excited and in a good space, and that she wasn't hiding the news despite weeks of speculation.
In remarks tied to her ongoing album cycle, Cardi stressed that the pregnancy would not derail her plans. She told fans that after this album run, she intends to focus on exercise and dance classes to get back in shape once the baby arrives. 'I owe this to myself and I owe this to my fans that have been waiting for such a long time. I know we don't live for the fans but I owe this to y'all,' she said. The album Am I the Drama?, released Sept. 19, serves as the follow-up to 2018's Grammy-winning Invasion of Privacy.
