Casa Alamanda Moclín opens for bookings after renovation by Amanda Holden and Alan Carr
Andalucían-style townhouse featured on BBC show now available to book in the Granada village of Moclín; proceeds from sale supported charity

A three-bedroom Andalusian-style townhouse in Moclín, Granada Province, renovated by Amanda Holden and Alan Carr for BBC One's Amanda & Alan's Spanish Job, is now available to book, with stays from 24 September. The property, named Casa Alamanda Moclín, sits in the northwest hills of the province and is listed for booking on Rightmove through Granada Village & Country.
Guests will find three themed double bedrooms, including the famous Moroccan Bedroom with a hand-carved ceiling, a King-sized bed, and French doors opening onto Juliet balconies. The house also features two airy bathrooms, a rustic dining and reception room, a charming kitchen and breakfast room, and a London club-inspired games and bar room. Outside, guests can enjoy private patios and a roof terrace with views across the village and surrounding hills, a setting showcased on screen throughout the show's second series.
Holden and Carr bought the crumbling 100-year-old townhouse for €65,000 (£55,000) and renovated it for the show. The property was later listed on Rightmove at €245,000 (£208,335) earlier this year and drew interest from buyers around the world, with Manchester Evening News noting about 35 offers. The Walters, Nicola and Mickey from Wales, purchased the home after just over a month on the market. None of the sale proceeds were kept by the original owners; instead, all profits went to Comic Relief and Children in Need, reflecting the charitable angle of the program.
The new owners, Nicola and Mickey Walters, have pledged to donate 15 per cent of all rental income to Moclín's women's association, a commitment highlighted in episode four of the series. The show’s second series features Casa Alamanda as a fully realized on-screen residence, offering visitors an authentic Southern Spanish experience with the same finishing touches Amanda Holden and Alan Carr used on camera.
Rates for Casa Alamanda Moclín are set to vary by season. In the low season, nightly rates start at €195 (about £170), with weekly stays from €1,365 (£1,190). In high season, nightly rates rise to €225 (£196), and a seven-night stay can be as low as about €1,575 (£1,373). The villa's prime position also makes it possible to combine outdoor pursuits with nearby cultural and culinary experiences, all within easy reach of Granada's historic sites.
Located in the northwest hills of Granada Province, Moclín is a thirteen-century village with a rich history. Nestled near the Sierra Nevada and boasting views of an ancient Nasrid castle, the area was once a strategic base for Catholic Monarchs during the 1486 Reconquista. Today, Moclín comprises seven villages and is home to roughly 3,500 residents, thriving as a cultural hub that hosts numerous fiestas throughout the year. For visitors seeking outdoor adventure, the Ruta del Gollizno offers scenic hiking trails that rival the crowds found on more famous routes, while the location provides the rare opportunity to combine skiing in the Sierra Nevada with beach days on the nearby Costa Tropical.
Casa Alamanda's new owners are committed to continuing the charitable spirit associated with the property. In addition to the sale proceeds benefiting Comic Relief and Children in Need, Nicola and Mickey Walters have pledged to support the local community by directing a portion of rental income to Moclín's women's association, ensuring the grant supports local initiatives beyond tourism.
