Charlene of Monaco dazzles in £2,550 white gown as she swings at Monte Carlo charity golf event

Princess Charlene of Monaco turned heads at the Princess Charlene Cup charity golf tournament in Monte Carlo, delivering a poised swing that showcased both her sporting side and her fashion portfolio. The 47-year-old former Olympic swimmer wore a sleeveless off-white gown described as a floral-embroidered tulle midi by Elie Saab, priced at about £2,550, paired with Jimmy Choo slingback pumps in a matching cream tone. The ensemble reflected a balance of glamour and athleticism as she prepared to strike a golf ball on the fourth edition of the charity event.

Her hair was swept into a chignon with a soft wave at the front, and her makeup remained understated with rose-toned lipstick and light blush to complement the delicate look. Charlene was accompanied by her husband, Prince Albert, who appeared dapper in cream trousers and a navy blazer. At a moment during the round, Albert could be seen offering pointers to his wife as she lined up a shot, underscoring a lighthearted mood on the course.

The event, part of the Princess Charlene Cup series launched in 2019, bills itself as a celebrity-style competition featuring 18 teams built around a star. In its inaugural year, the tournament raised €330,000 (£287,917) for Charlene’s foundation, with proceeds directed to a five-year project at the Awutu-Breku High School in Ghana and the renovation of the Princess Charlene Municipal Swimming Pool in La Turbie, France. The charity framing of the day reflects Charlene’s long-standing philanthropic commitments alongside her role as a member of Monaco’s ruling family.

Away from the green, Charlene and Albert’s family life drew public attention for different reasons. Their 10-year-old twins, Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella, recently returned to school following a long summer break. Monaco Life reported that the siblings resumed classes at the Institution François D'assise-Nicolas Barré, with updates highlighting their outfits and new accessories reflecting their evolving interests. Gabriella was seen with a baby blue bag featuring a Sanrio character and a Labubu plush, while Jacques carried a simple geometric-patterned satchel. The Labubu craze, born from a Hong Kong toy line, has become a notable trend among young shoppers and collectors, with some items commanding impressive resale values.

The family’s return to routine was acknowledged by Charlene and Albert in a social media post that celebrated the start of a new academic year filled with discoveries, friendships and adventures. Monaco Life, which tracks royal life in the principality, noted that Jacques and Gabriella have been attending the school since 2021 and that the royals continue to shares moments of daily life with their supporters, even as Charlene’s public appearances remain a focal point for her charitable work and public duties.
