Charlene of Monaco shines in £2,550 white gown as she swings at charity golf tournament
Princess Charlene attends the Princess Charlene Cup in Monte Carlo, pairing elegance with sport while supporting foundation projects in Ghana and France.

Princess Charlene of Monaco dazzled in an off-white, sleeveless gown as she took part in the fourth Princess Charlene Cup charity golf tournament in Monte Carlo, balancing poise with sport on the course. The event drew attention not only for the sport but also for the royal’s return to the public eye in a look that blended elegance with athletic intent. The princess, 47, was accompanied by her husband, Prince Albert, 67, at a event that has become a hallmark of Monaco’s charitable calendar.
She wore a white Elie Saab dress valued at about £2,550, selecting a sleeveless version of the Lebanese designer’s floral embroidered tulle midi dress, featuring applique flowers and sheer panels. The ensemble was paired with Jimmy Choo Amita 85 patent leather pumps in a complementary cream shade, priced at about £675. Charlene’s hair was swept back into a chignon with a loose wave at the front to soften the look, and her makeup was kept light with rose-toned lipstick, subtle blush and pale pink eyeshadow. At one point during the day Albert appeared to offer his wife golfing pointers as she lined up her swing, the couple posing for photographers between rounds of play.
The Princess Charlene Cup, launched in 2019, is pitched as a celebrity cup featuring 18 teams. The event’s charitable arc is longstanding: in its inaugural edition, it raised €330,000 (£287,917) for the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation. Proceeds have supported projects including a five-year initiative at Awutu-Breku High School in Ghana and renovations to the Princess Charlene Municipal Swimming Pool in La Turbie, in southeastern France, underscoring the couple’s ongoing philanthropic focus beyond their official duties.
Charlene and Albert’s 10-year-old twins, Jacques and Gabriella, returned to school after the summer break, sharing moments from the start of the new academic year on social media. The siblings, pictured in posts from Monaco Life, attended the Institution François D’assise-Nicolas Barré and updated their uniforms with items reflecting their current interests. Gabriella was seen with a baby blue Labubu bag, a plush item linked to the Chinese toy brand Pop Mart, alongside Roblox merchandise. Labubu has created a notable following among collectors and fans, with descriptions casting the plush figures as elvish creatures. The market for Labubu items ranges, with figures online often selling for up to £94, while rare editions can command much higher prices; a life-size Labubu figure recently fetched around £127,000 at auction.
The royal family’s public posts surrounding the new school year included an Instagram caption wishing students a year of discoveries, friendships and adventures, reflecting a broader message of continuity and support for Monaco’s younger generation. Monaco Life, which covers local royal life, notes that Jacques and Gabriella have been enrolled at the same school since 2021, signaling consistency in their education as the family balances public duties with family life.
