Dani Dyer breaks silence on devastating Strictly exit after ankle injury
Love Island alum says she is heartbroken and will take time off social media following ankle fracture during training.

Dani Dyer, the Love Island star, has broken her silence on her devastating exit from Strictly Come Dancing after fracturing her ankle in training last week. The 32-year-old told followers she was forced to withdraw from the competition and is processing the news on social media.
In an Instagram video posted Sunday, Dyer addressed her exit and revealed she plans to take a break from social media to cope with the setback. 'Hi guys, I'm going to try and do this without crying. I am so heartbroken, I have not felt like this in such a long time. I was having the best time ever. It’s just a very devastating, annoying kind of thing that I'm going through right now.' She added that she would likely be away from her accounts for a few days to process the situation.
Dyer expressed gratitude to fans and the Strictly team, saying she loves everyone at the show and would miss them but intends to cheer them on from the sidelines. 'I am probably just going to have a few days off my socials just to process things. But I just want to thank you all for all of your love and support. I am gutted, I am absolutely gutted. I love everyone at Strictly, I am going to miss them so much but yeah I obviously will eventually come along and cheer them all on.'
The former Love Island contestant’s injury marks a sudden end to her run on this season of Strictly Come Dancing. Officials have not announced replacements, and it was unclear when she would be able to return to public appearances. Dyer rose to fame on Love Island and has since built a career in entertainment, with Strictly serving as a high-profile platform in recent years.
