Ed Sheeran expands Suffolk estate with £1m farmhouse, creating a man cave as he eyes move to the United States
The pop star adds a Grade II-listed farmhouse near Sheeranville, including a gym, bar and bowling alley, amid talk of relocating to America.

Ed Sheeran has extended his sprawling Suffolk estate by purchasing a nearby Grade II-listed farmhouse for about £1 million, turning it into a personal 'man cave' to accompany his flagship Sheeranville property. The 34-year-old singer’s estate has grown for more than a decade, and already features a pub, a tree house, a swimming pool, an underground music room and a cinema with a 35-by-20-foot screen.
The new farmhouse sits just a stone's throw from Sheeranville and is being converted to include a gym, a bar and a bowling alley. One of the barns on site is being repurposed as a recording studio; there was a piggery that has been transformed into the man cave.
Beyond the Suffolk complex, Sheeran's property portfolio has grown to what industry outlets describe as his £70 million empire, including 27 properties since 2012, spanning in and around London and along the coast. The singer’s London-based assets include a Holland Park mansion, Covent Garden flats, three in Battersea, five apartments in Wiverton Tower in Whitechapel, and more.
His relocation plans: The star has said he plans to relocate to America for the foreseeable future, continuing to travel for work. He recently bought a sprawling £9 million home in New York and has hinted at settling in the United States with his family while on tour. He has previously named Nashville as his favorite American city and said moving into country music could be an end goal.
The latest purchase comes as he has faced legal disputes with neighbors over land expansion, underscoring the friction that often accompanies high-profile property growth in rural England.
Context: Sheeran's net worth is around £200 million; his property portfolio around £70 million; His business footprint includes his 'Sheeranville' estate and multiple other assets.
Overall: The development underscores his long-term interest in property and entertainment venues, while his move to the U.S. marks a shift that could influence his touring and musical direction in coming years.
