Ed Sheeran, Laufey to headline 2025 Jingle Ball at Madison Square Garden

The iHeartRadio Jingle Ball is returning to Madison Square Garden for a one-night-only event on Friday, Dec. 12, 2025, bringing a large cross-genre lineup to New York City’s iconic arena. At the top of the 12-act bill are international superstar Ed Sheeran and jazzy singer-songwriter Laufey, followed by acts spanning pop, hip-hop, country and R&B. The organizers describe the show as a holiday-season musical extravaganza that blends high-profile headliners with rising stars.

Reneé Rapp, the actress known for her work in Mean Girls and her pop career, joins a mix that also includes hip-hop artist Nelly, folksy rocker Alex Warren, and rising rapper BigXThaPlug. Also on the bill are avant-pop favorite Conan Gray, edgy country-leaning vocalist Jessie Murph, K-pop group MONSTA X and R&B singer Ravyn Lenae. Zara Larsson and Myles Smith complete the extensive lineup, and there will be a special sing-along moment featuring the fictional “K-Pop Demon Hunters” motif that the organizers tout as a highlight of the evening.

The MSG stop is part of a broader iHeartRadio Jingle Ball tour that spans multiple U.S. cities from early December through the holiday season. The New York show sits among a 10-date arena run scheduled from Dec. 2 through Dec. 20, with a rotating slate of headlining acts at each venue. In addition to New York, other stops include Fort Worth, Los Angeles, Chicago, Detroit, Boston, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., Atlanta and Miami. The Dec. 14 stop at Boston’s TD Garden features Ed Sheeran, Laufey, Olivia Dean, Ravyn Lenae and Sean Paul, while the Dec. 15 show in Philadelphia at Xfinity Mobile Arena is headlined by AJR with a lineup that includes Alex Warren and Laufey. The national run continues with show-specific casts that vary by city, ensuring a unique Jingle Ball experience at each location.

Ticket information for the MSG show places tickets on sale to the public on Friday, Oct. 3. A secondary-market option is offered through Vivid Seats, which indicates a 100% buyer guarantee and notes that prices may exceed or fall below face value, depending on demand. Fans who secure tickets can expect a seating layout that mirrors standard MSG configurations, with all sections open for the Dec. 12 performance.

Beyond the Madison Square Garden date, several artists who appear on the MSG lineup have other immediate or near-term engagement plans in the Tri-State area. Reneé Rapp’s Bite Me Tour includes stops at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on Sept. 29 and MSG on Oct. 1. Ravyn Lenae is scheduled to perform at Brooklyn’s Paramount on Oct. 13 and at Manhattan’s Terminal 5 on Oct. 19. Laufey is set for MSG on Oct. 15–16, sharing the bill with co-headliner Suki Waterhouse. Zara Larsson recently opened for Tate McRae on tour and has back-to-back Brooklyn Paramount appearances March 26–27, 2025. Ed Sheeran has additional touring commitments outside the Jingle Ball calendar, including headline nights at East Rutherford, N.J., MetLife Stadium on Sept. 4–5, 2026, where he will be joined by Macklemore as part of a broader Loop Tour.

The broader Jingle Ball schedule includes other U.S. cities with distinct lineups. The Fort Worth show on Dec. 2 features Alex Warren, Jessie Murph, MGK, Nelly and Reneé Rapp; the Dec. 8 date in Chicago includes Jessie Murph, Nelly, Reneé Rapp, Shinedown and Teddy Swims; Detroit’s Dec. 9 program includes BigXthaPlug, Conan Gray, Jessie Murph, Nelly and Shinedown; Boston’s Dec. 14 headline set features Sheeran and Laufey; Philadelphia’s Dec. 15 lineup includes AJR and Laufey; Washington, D.C., Dec. 16 presents AJR and Jelly Roll; Atlanta’s Dec. 18 show highlights BigXthaPlug and Mariah the Scientist; and Miami’s Dec. 20 closing night includes BigXthaPlug, Feid, Kehlani, MGK and MONSTA X. Attendees should expect at least one special moment per city, including the anticipated sing-along element that ties the tour together across venues.

The New York Post’s Matt Levy, who covers live events for the publication, frames the tour as a top annual destination for pop, hip-hop and international audiences at a time when big-ticket arena spectacles are a staple of the winter holiday season. Levy notes that deals can expire and prices are subject to change, a standard caveat for popular secondary markets and high-demand tours. While the lineup highlights a blend of contemporary pop icons and rising acts, the tour’s diversified roster is designed to appeal to a broad audience across age groups and musical tastes. In New York and across the circuit, fans are increasingly navigating multiple-ticket paths, from official on-sales to secondary markets, to secure seats for the most coveted shows of the month.
