Feldman Walks Back Molestation Claim About Haim After Mother's Criticism

Feldman's representatives say Apple TV+ documentary remarks were mischaracterized, denying any physical molestation; Haim's mother disputes the narrative and hints at possible legal action.

Feldman Walks Back Molestation Claim About Haim After Mother's Criticism

Corey Feldman is walking back a controversial claim about his late Lost Boys co-star Corey Haim, saying he never alleged that Haim molested him. The clarification follows public pushback from Haim’s mother and new statements from Feldman’s representatives about remarks he made in an Apple TV+ documentary about his life. In the film, Feldman described an incident during the 1987 shoot when he says Haim made advances toward him while they were 16 years old.

Feldman’s legal team told Us Weekly that the statements in the documentary were a mischaracterization and that Feldman did not claim physical molestation by Haim. They said the remarks referred to advances and that Feldman declined. The representatives also noted that the film presents him as alleging that Haim tried to initiate sexual activity, not that he was assaulted.

Judy Haim, Corey Haim’s mother, denounced the comments on TMZ, saying Feldman is trying to keep himself relevant and that her son was not into men. She argued that Feldman’s narrative does not add up, questioned why the two remained friends for years if such an incident occurred, and indicated she might pursue legal action.

The Apple TV+ documentary, directed by Marcie Hume, is described as exploring Feldman’s life and Hollywood dynamics. A late-2017 interview with Feldman is referenced by Hume as a focal moment in the film, set against the broader #MeToo-era conversations surrounding the industry.

Feldman has previously spoken about sexual abuse in Hollywood; Haim and Feldman starred together in Lost Boys plus other films in the 1980s. The Lost Boys premiered in 1987, and the two later worked on License to Drive (1988) and Dream a Little Dream (1989). Haim died in 2010 at age 38 from pneumonia.

Trailer and pre-order information for Corey Feldman vs. The World was promoted earlier this month; the film’s described premise includes Feldman confronting Hollywood abuse allegations and personal secrets.
