Four Seasons London Tower Bridge delivers refined luxury with riverfront calm

The Four Seasons Hotel London Tower Bridge stands as a refined anchor in central London, delivering a tranquil luxury experience anchored by a grand spa and an acclaimed afternoon tea.

The hotel is housed in the former Port of London Authority building, which opened in 1922 with Prime Minister David Lloyd George presiding over the ceremony. Iconic views of Tower Bridge, The Shard, and the City skyline frame the property's location, just steps from the river. On a recent visit, guests found a calmer scene, with groups enjoying quiet afternoon tea as piano music fills the Rotunda Bar and Lounge.

Rooms and facilities: The Four Seasons Tower Bridge offers a range of rooms from Superior Rooms with a king bed, wood paneling, and blue-grey hues, to palatial suites with Tower Bridge views. Each room includes a modern bathroom and luxurious touches such as super-soft dressing gowns and a coffee maker. Some categories provide access to a private members' club with a billiard room and cigar lounge. The hotel’s basement houses a spa with massages, facials and body treatments, plus a hammam, steam room, sauna, a sizeable pool, and a 24-hour gym. The SAVA Sound Pod is offered at £75 for 45 minutes, a meditative experience involving a vibrating bed and sound.

Food and drink: The Lily Vanilli afternoon tea is priced at £48 per person and features her signature bakes, with upgrades on classic finger sandwiches, including crispy confit potatoes. The fully iced vanilla sponge cake and tiramisu tart were highlights. Afternoon tea is served in the Rotunda Bar and Lounge, which also offers breakfast, both buffet and à la carte. Mei Ume provides Chinese and Japanese sharing plates and Asian-inspired cocktails.

Hotel highlights and nearby activities: Guests praise the staff and spa, as well as the hotel’s location. Nearby activities include boarding HMS Belfast, visiting The Shard for panoramic views, taking a river cruise to Greenwich, or touring the Tower of London to see the crown jewels. A suggested tip is to walk along the river early in the morning to watch London wake up.

Prices start from £650 per night, including breakfast. For more information visit the hotel's website.
