Heinz teases comeback of Halloween Monster Munch Mayo

Heinz has teased the return of its popular Halloween-themed limited edition sauce, the Scarily Good Monster Munch Mayo, a tangy fusion that blends the pickled onion flavor of Monster Munch with Heinz mayonnaise. Last year, a run of 1,000 bottles was produced and sold exclusively on the Heinz to Home website before a wider rollout to UK retailers in September and October.

Interest intensified after an Instagram teaser showed a silhouetted bottle with the word pending, accompanied by the line “We love summer but...we have an itch!” The short video carried the caption “Spooky SZN pending… and a highly awaited return?” and has sparked renewed chatter among fans, though no official release date has been announced.

Industry voices connected to the project say the collaboration with Walkers built on Halloween campaigns that have become a staple for fans of the scarily themed spread. Thiago Rapp, Director of Taste Elevation at Kraft Heinz, said the partnership with Walkers to bring Monster Munch Mayo to life was a continuation of a line of limited-edition products that tap into the spooky season. Rapp noted that the prior success of Heinz Black Garlic Mayo last Halloween helped set the stage for another limited run, adding that Monster Munch, with its distinctive claw, was “the perfect partner for mayo this Halloween” and would deliver a “scarily good twist on the classic.”

Wayne Newton, Walkers Senior Marketing Director, echoed the excitement, saying the collaboration with Heinz to launch the Monster Munch Mayo marked an “extremely exciting time” for the brand. He highlighted the partnership as part of Walkers’ broader Halloween campaign and noted the ongoing appeal of bringing together familiar pantry flavors with a seasonal twist.

Beyond the mayo, the Heinz-Walkers collaboration extended to a trio of crisps inspired by classic sandwich sauces. The lineup includes a Sausage Sarnie flavour paired with Heinz Tomato Ketchup and a Cheese Toastie flavour combined with Heinz Beanz, with a third flavour also in development for a limited run. The crisps are being rolled out across 12 major retailers nationwide, continuing the joint effort to fuse iconic British tastes with novelty snack concepts during the spooky season.

Fans have reacted with palpable excitement online, many recalling the previous limited sale of the Monster Munch Mayo and expressing hope for a full shelves comeback this year. While no official date has been announced, the social-media buzz underscores the enduring appetite for the seasonal collaboration that blends nostalgic snack flavors with a modern mayonnaise twist.

As the weeks progress, Heinz and Walkers are expected to provide details on a potential release window and retailer availability. For devotees of the spooky-season lineup, the teaser has already revived discussions about whether this year’s run will mirror or expand upon last year’s limited edition, 1,000-bottle launch, and whether additional variants might join the lineup if the response matches or exceeds expectations.
