Jesy Nelson engaged to Zion Foster as former Little Mix bandmates stay silent
Engagement announced by the singer follows her revelation that she and the group no longer speak; bandmates have not publicly commented on the post

Jesy Nelson announced on Friday that she is engaged to Zion Foster, her partner since January 2022, prompting a notable silence from her former Little Mix bandmates. Nelson posted a close-up image of a diamond ring and wrote, “Just got engaged to my best friend,” as Foster is said to have proposed during a romantic beach sunset. The engagement quickly drew messages of congratulations from fans and friends, but Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards and Leigh-Anne Pinnock did not comment on the post.
Nelson, who left Little Mix in 2020, has previously said she has had no contact with the group since her departure. In a prior interview she described her time in the group as a period of misery, and she confirmed, “We haven’t talked since [I left the band].” She added that she “honestly wished them the best on their solo journeys now, which is so exciting.”
Nelson and Foster began dating in January 2022 and have weathered several breakups before reconciling. The engagement news comes amid a high-profile year for Nelson’s former bandmates’ solo projects. Perrie Edwards released her debut solo album on the same day, while Jade Thirlwall’s solo project appeared earlier in the month, highlighted by her track If He Wanted To He Would. Nelson’s news also underscores her recent family milestones.
The couple welcomed twins Ocean Jade and Story Monroe in May after Nelson was diagnosed with twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS), a rare condition that can endanger one or both babies. The twins were born at about 31 weeks and required care in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) before being released from hospital. Nelson has publicly spoken about the NICU experience, describing it as the most frightening and emotional chapter of her life as a parent and expressing gratitude for the care the twins received. She noted that nothing in preparation could have prepared them for the experience and that seeing the babies reunited for the first time was indescribably magical.
In March, Nelson faced an emergency procedure while seven months pregnant and remained in hospital until she reached safety milestones around 32 weeks. Foster stood by her throughout the journey, and Nelson has said their shared experience has brought them closer as they prepare for life with two young children. The engagement marks a personal milestone for Nelson while she continues to balance new family responsibilities with ongoing public attention surrounding her career and personal life.
As the public learns more about Nelson’s today and her future plans, questions about the dynamics within Little Mix and how the group members navigate their solo paths remain a topic of interest for fans and industry observers alike. The absence of public comments from Thirlwall, Edwards and Pinnock on Nelson’s engagement stands in contrast to the celebratory tone of the post from Nelson herself, which has dominated social media feeds since Friday.
