Jon Bon Jovi breaks silence on Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi's adoption

Jon Bon Jovi has broken his silence about Millie Bobby Brown and his son Jake Bongiovi adopting their first child together, describing the moment as 'crazy, but great' and saying he has already met the baby girl. The remarks came in a clip from Bunnie XO’s Dumb Blonde podcast that was shared to TikTok on Sunday, marking the rocker’s first public comments since the news of the adoption.

Bon Jovi said meeting the infant made the grandchild feel like 'your baby,' and he joked that he often asks Jake and Brown to send photos of their daughter. 'It's crazy, but great. Wonderful,' he said, adding that he’s already becoming 'that pain in the butt guy,' requesting updates 'every other day.'

Brown and Bongiovi quietly wed during an intimate ceremony last year, with Jon Bon Jovi in attendance, and they later staged a larger ceremony in Italy. The Enola Holmes actress publicly acknowledged their adoption last month, posting on Instagram that they had welcomed their 'sweet baby girl through adoption' and expressing excitement for the next chapter of parenthood in peace and privacy.

Over the weekend, Brown used her main account to celebrate what she called their one-year anniversary, sharing a black-and-white photo of the couple and writing, '1 year married. I love being your wife.' In recent months the couple have been spotted in New York City pushing a stroller and enjoying moments with their daughter. Brown had earlier offered glimpses of family life, including a post that showed Bongiovi with a baby carrier headed toward a private jet.

The couple’s road to marriage has been a drawn-out but steady one. Brown and Bongiovi began dating in 2021 and announced their engagement in 2023. Brown has been open about wanting a family from a young age; in the SmartLess interview she explained that she grew up watching her mother become a mother at 21 and that starting a family had long been part of her plan. She said adoption has always felt like a viable path, noting that she views it as not different from having a child of one’s own.

Brown and Bongiovi’s devotion to privacy has accompanied a high-profile romance, and the couple continue to navigate public interest in their personal life. They have chosen to celebrate milestones privately while sharing selective moments with their followers.
