Kate Gosselin says she's dating again after 16 years
The former Jon & Kate Plus 8 star confirms a new relationship and discusses finances, family life and her nursing career.

Kate Gosselin, 50, says she is 'actually, finally' dating again, telling fans in a TikTok post on Monday that she is seeing a new partner and is 'super happy' with the person.
She has been dating the unidentified man for a little over a year, maybe 14 or 15 months, she said, adding that it's nice to not be lonely anymore. She did not name the man, but hinted that fans might see him in future TikTok videos, noting that you perhaps will catch a peep of him here and there or once in a while going forward.
Gosselin rose to fame in the mid-2000s with Jon & Kate Plus 8. The couple were married from 1999 to 2009 and had twins Madelyn and Cara, now in their mid-20s, along with sextuplets Aaden, Collin, Joel, Hannah, Alexis and Leah, now in their early 20s. The divorce sparked a high-profile custody battle. Kate was granted primary custody of the children and ownership of the family home, though Jon later won custody of Collin and Hannah in 2018. She has said the split left her financially strained, including paying substantial attorney fees; she suggested in a mid-August TikTok response that those costs hindered savings for her kids and her retirement. She has been candid about the toll of the divorce on her finances.
Her dating history includes a 2015 relationship with businessman Jeff Prescott and a stint on the dating show Kate Plus Date in 2019. On television she also competed as a contestant on Dancing With the Stars years ago. She later appeared in other reality formats, including Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test, which the notes describe her as an alum of.
Beyond TV, Gosselin has continued to raise her eight children while pursuing a career in health care. She has worked as a nurse for 28 years and is currently active in pediatric home health care, typically performing 12-hour shifts. She has said her nursing income is around $30 per hour, depending on state and shift. Some of her children plan to live at home between college semesters, reflecting ongoing family arrangements as they pursue higher education.
Late last year, a source told a publication that Kate was 'hurting for money' and 'still trying to get a new show,' underscoring the ongoing financial pressures that have followed her post-reality TV career.
