Katie Holmes, Joshua Jackson Share Cozy Moment at Dawson’s Creek Reunion
Onstage read-through in New York spotlighted Joey Potter and Pacey Witter reuniting for a charitable event, with proceeds supporting cancer causes and health care.

Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson rekindled onscreen chemistry at a Dawson’s Creek reunion Monday in New York City, performing a read-through of the six-season series’ pilot at the Richard Rodgers Theatre. Holmes and Jackson, who played Joey Potter and Pacey Witter, joined their fellow cast members on stage for the curtain call after the read-through.
During the curtain call, the pair walked out holding hands. Holmes, 46, leaned her head on Jackson’s shoulder at one point, and Jackson rested his head on hers as they accepted applause. Holmes clapped as Jackson bowed, then reached for a high-five as the audience cheered. Fan posts and clips captured the moment as the former costars stayed on stage with the rest of the cast.
Proceeds from the event benefited F Cancer and James Van Der Beek’s colorectal cancer treatment. Van Der Beek, who played Dawson Leery on the show, was unable to participate because of health issues.
Holmes and Jackson briefly dated in 1998 while filming Dawson’s Creek.

The actors had reunited earlier this year to film the Happy Hours project in New York, with Holmes writing, directing and starring in the trilogy and Jackson co-starring. The two have maintained a very close friendship over the years, though Jackson has said they do not speak daily.
Holmes later married Tom Cruise and welcomed a daughter, Suri. Jackson co-parents daughter Juno, 5, with ex-wife Jodie Turner-Smith. Both have described their bond as strong and platonic, noting that they remain close but not in constant contact.
