Kelly Brook has said she would be heartbroken if her husband, Jeremy Parisi, fathered children with another woman should their relationship not last. The model and actress, 46, spoke on ITV's Loose Women on Wednesday about family planning and the realities of motherhood. Brook and Parisi, who wed in 2022, have previously said they consciously chose not to have children, but the possibility still weighs on her.

'The time has probably run out, I don't know, I just have to get my head around it,' Brook reflected, conveying the emotional weight of the topic. 'If our marriage doesn't end up successful in the long term, how would I feel seeing him go on and have children with other people?' She added: 'We made the decision early on that we wouldn't have children, but I can't say I wouldn't be heartbroken.'

Brook noted that she met Parisi a decade ago when she was 36, and that meeting him later in life influenced their choice. 'I met the love of my life so late, I met him at like 36!' she said, adding that they had both agreed to prioritise a calmer lifestyle. 'We just wanted a nice, peaceful life together,' she admitted, explaining that neither she nor Jeremy felt drawn to the chaos of raising young children.

During the programme, Brook also recalled a quirky teenage beauty ritual she once carried out for a friend who was on the periphery of her circle: 'I used to say come round to mine before we go out on a Friday, and I'd put her head on the ironing board, put a wet shirt over her head and straighten her hair with an iron!' The moment, she laughed, highlighted the light-hearted side of friendships in her youth.

The episode also featured Penny Lancaster, who opened up about her journey with husband Rod Stewart and their blended family. Lancaster explained that the couple were upfront early on about Rod's children from previous relationships. 'Rod and I were very transparent in the beginning, as everyone knows, he has a lot of children from multiple different mothers. He said, I’m excited we're in this relationship together but I really don't want to enter into another marriage and have children, I've had a lot of heartache,' Lancaster recalled. She responded that while she was not initially in a position to forgo having a child, she needed that part of her life and hoped to find a path forward with Rod.

It was not until 2004, following a poignant conversation about the lives lost in 9/11, that Rod changed his mind. 'We were reminiscing on all the children that could have been born from those who lost their lives and he looked at me and said, 'let's make a baby',' Lancaster said, becoming emotional as a photo of their blended family appeared on screen. 'My biggest gift for my boy is having that lot as their siblings.'

Loose Women airs weekdays on ITV1 from 12:30pm and is available to stream on ITVX.
