Kim Kardashian snapped at her mother Kris Jenner during an appearance on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday, recalling an awkward blind date with an Emmy-winning producer years ago. The 44-year-old SKIMS founder said Kris had set her up on the blind date, but she believed at the time it was a job interview. The date occurred before filming Keeping Up with the Kardashians, and they went to The Ivy in Los Angeles where the man was described as a TV executive.

Kim explained she arrived with a resume, and the audience laughed. "And I had a resume on me," she recalled, noting that Kris probably didn't expect such preparedness. "Once I - like, five minutes in, I realized what was up." Fallon joked, "Here's my resume. I'm going to date you." Kim said, "I was like, 'I'm going to kill you,'" referencing her mother's setup. Kris interjected with laughter, but Kim continued, describing the lack of chemistry and the moment she realized the situation.

The talk-show host then asked Kris what feedback she gave at the time. Kris said, "He totally knew because he was also an Emmy award-winning --" but Kim cut her off, saying, "Mom, can you stop!" The live audience laughed as Fallon feigned disbelief. Kris later recalled that the TV executive had been "kidding" about the Emmy as a seal-the-deal, but she did not reveal the person's name, and added that she pleaded the fifth when asked if she is friends with him now.

Khloe Kardashian joined the conversation and joked that she is not known as a good picker, declining to name any potential suitors for Kim. The discussion touched on Kim's dating life, with the star confirming she is currently single and not seeing anyone. She has previously dated Pete Davidson and Odell Beckham Jr., and there were reports of a secret new romance earlier this year, though Fallon noted she is now single on the show.

The appearance included a broader nod to Kim's family and dating dynamics. In a separate anecdote, Mark Wahlberg recounted a dog-adoption moment at his home, where his wife thought a guest was coming—only to discover that it was a dog. Wahlberg's story highlighted how Kim's name periodically comes up in casual talk among guests and viewers.

The show aired as Kim continues to balance public attention on her personal life with her business ventures, including a NikeSKIMS launch that earlier drew attention in sheer catsuit fashion. The Kardashian-Jenner clan has kept a high public profile, with Kim sharing her post-divorce dating status publicly as she navigates life after Kanye West.
