Kim Kardashian stuns in see-through catsuit at NikeSkims NYC launch

Kim Kardashian, 44, arrived in New York City on Wednesday for the Skims and Nike store launch event, turning heads in a bizarre see-through grey catsuit that clung to her hourglass silhouette. The outfit, drawn from her upcoming NikeSkims collaboration, features white stripes running down the sides and creates the illusion of underwear worn on the outside, with a Nike and Skims logo visible along the seam. Kardashian paired the garment with a headband-style scarf and pointed-toe grey heels, and her raven tresses tumbled in loose waves as she wore bronzed makeup.

NikeSkims is scheduled to launch on September 26 and will include body-sculpting pieces designed for performance, including crop tops and leggings.

The event comes amid public commentary from Nathalie Kelley, who reposted an EcoAge article criticizing NikeSkims for its use of synthetic materials such as nylon and spandex. Kelley, 40, an outspoken climate activist, captioned the post with a poop emoji and argued that the line amounts to fossil fuel fashion.

Remake, a global advocacy group, gave Skims a zero score in its 2024 accountability report, ranking it at the bottom alongside Temu for transparency, wages and wellbeing of workers, and environmental impact.

In a separate moment that same week, Kardashian spoke with French Vogue in a cover story about personal growth and confidence. She described turning 40 as a turning point and said she has become more independent, noting she no longer seeks others’ opinions when making decisions.
