Kim Kardashian wears pirate-inspired look as NikeSkims team unveils joint Nike collaboration
NikeSkims activewear line with Nike debuts Sept. 26, featuring seven collections, 58 silhouettes and sizes from XXS to 4X.

Kim Kardashian, 44, arrived in New York City early Wednesday for the NikeSKIMS Bodies at Work performance at the New York Public Library. She wore a plunging black bra top and high-waisted leggings with pointed high heels, paired with a black scarf wrapped around her head to evoke a pirate look. She was joined by sister Khloe Kardashian and mother Kris Jenner, who sat in director's chairs in matching all-black outfits.
The event previewed NikeSkims, a collaboration that blends Kardashian's Skims shapewear and loungewear with Nike's performance heritage. The inaugural collection is set to go on sale Sept. 26 and will span seven collections and 58 silhouettes, with sizes from XXS to 4X and price points between 38 and 148 dollars. The lineup includes athletes such as Serena Williams, Chloe Kim, Sha registered Richardson, Jordan Chiles and Madisen Skinner. Kardashian framed the collaboration as a natural evolution for Skims into activewear and said the partnership aims to be lasting rather than a one-off capsule.
In notes accompanying the event, Kardashian described the aim of fusing Skims body conscious design with workout gear, noting she was hands on in designing fabrics, thickness and fit to ensure support while remaining comfortable. She said the line should be easy to mix and match with more than 10 000 ways to pair pieces, and emphasized that she wants pieces she loves to wear to the gym, with a focus on comfort and performance. The collection is expected to reflect Skims core ethos while leveraging Nike's scale and distribution.
Kardashian also spoke about her routine, saying she works out daily and follows an emphasis on weightlifting for the lower body, with a mix of upper body days, cardio and stretching. She noted back issues have shaped some workouts and that pilates remains a staple to keep length and flexibility. She added that she sometimes checks her phone during workouts and joked about not enjoying hot yoga, preferring routines that keep her engaged.
The event also featured Kris Jenner and Khloe Kardashian, who posed on the steps of the library and mingled with attendees as the sisters discussed the joint venture. Kardashian described NikeSkims as a way to merge high fashion with performance and to expand the Skims brand into a global athletic category, leveraging Nike's worldwide reach to bring the line to a broader audience.
