Matt Goss Announces Engagement to Chantal Brown, Hopes to Reconcile with Luke

Matt Goss, 56, has announced his engagement to jewellery designer Chantal Brown and said the couple are planning to wed in London. The former Bros pop singer, who turns 57 next week, revealed the news at the Barrus X Art De Huille show during London Fashion Week, held at the Royal Horseguards Hotel. Goss described Brown as the person who has helped him move forward and said that a wedding is in the works.
Brown, who was previously married to actor Paul Nicholls, spoke about their relationship and said that true love is the secret to their connection. She indicated that wedding plans are well under way and that the ceremony is expected to take place in London. Goss, who rose to fame in the 1980s and later appeared on Strictly Come Dancing, has spoken about making a life with Brown in the capital.
Amid the happiness, Goss also addressed his ongoing estrangement from his twin brother and former Bros bandmate, Luke Goss. He did not share the reasons for their rift but said he hopes they can set aside their differences and reconcile, noting that they were born on the same day and grew up together. He added that there would be no reason not to perform together on stage if the brothers can find a path forward and possibly revive a Bros reunion.
Goss has recently moved back to London from Las Vegas to be closer to Brown, leaving Las Vegas about two years ago after performing there for a decade. He said the move is part of building a life in London, where he can enjoy everyday pleasures such as going to the movies, dining at local spots, and watching England games with his partner.
Brown’s backstory includes her earlier marriage to actor Paul Nicholls, whom she met in 1997 and married in Hampstead in 2000. The couple divorced in 2015. Brown, who began her career as a model and was signed by Kate Moss’s agency Storm, faded from public life after the split before re-emerging in the public eye through her relationship with Goss and her work as a jewellery designer.
