McCartney spotted at LA deli ahead of Got Back Tour
Sir Paul McCartney, 83, and wife Nancy Shevell, 65, seen in Los Angeles before the Got Back Tour; tour runs Sept. 29 to Nov. 25 in the United States.

Sir Paul McCartney, 83, kept a low profile in sunglasses, a navy blue cap and a zip-up hoodie as he queued at a Los Angeles deli with wife Nancy Shevell, 65, ahead of his Got Back Tour.
The couple were seen at Gjusta in the Venice area, where McCartney waited to purchase a bowl of fruit while Shevell browsed the aisles in a floral shirt and beige trousers. The deli, known for breakfasts such as a salmon roe bagel, almond butter toast and a smoked brisket hash, also offers a build-your-own-sandwich service with options including pastrami, salmon and tomato confit.

Rock legend McCartney is in California ahead of the Got Back Tour, which begins its American leg Sept. 29 in Palm Springs and wraps up Nov. 25 in Chicago. Earlier this year, he gave fans a glimpse into how he keeps his energy high, after nearly six decades onstage. In London last year, his set included Beatles favorites Hey Jude, Let It Be and Drive My Car, as well as Wings songs.
In addition to touring, McCartney is slated to appear in Spinal Tap II: The End Continues, a mockumentary sequel due in theaters this September, joining Elton John and the fictitious band Spinal Tap for one final concert. Director Rob Reiner said the drive to perform comes from a love of the music and the stage, regardless of age, noting that the film frames age as no barrier to doing what you love.
Separately, McCartney this year discussed reinventing his career after the Beatles with Wings, including the 1971 formation of the band and the hits Band on the Run, Venus and Mars, and At the Speed of Sound. A forthcoming book, Wings: The Story of a Band on the Run, is set for release in November and revisits the early days of Wings and the challenges and triumphs that followed the Beatles split.
