Meghan Markle Offered DJing Role on Magic Radio Amid Radio Show Talks

Meghan Markle is in conversations about a radio show on Magic Radio after praising the station in her Netflix series Love, Meghan, where she said it was one of the things she missed most about the United Kingdom. Magic has indicated it has discussed a potential program with the Duchess and has signaled that an offer is on the table if she ever wants to pursue radio presenting. The Telegraph reported that Magic had offered a show, though the exact sum was not disclosed.

Paul Sylvester, Magic's content director, told a RadioCentre conference that there had been conversations with “the Sussex team” and that there is “an offer on the table” for a DJing role. Magic is owned by Bauer Media and focuses on music from the 1980s onward, boasting about 3.6 million weekly listeners. The disclosure comes as Meghan's media portfolio continues to attract attention beyond her Netflix projects.

Separately, Netflix chief executive Ted Sarandos praised Meghan on the eight-episode second season of With Love, Meghan, calling the project “successful in every measure” despite a mixed critical reception and uneven early reviews. Sarandos noted the show’s ability to monetize consumer products associated with the series, such as edible flowers and jam sold via Meghan’s online shop, As Ever, and described the Duchess as having “remarkable influence.” The second season, which critics labeled as staged and dull by some observers, did not immediately replicate the streaming service’s global performance of the first season and appeared to undershoot expectations in several markets.

The broader discussion around Meghan’s projects includes Netflix’s first-look deal with the couple, described by analysts as a downgrade from their previous $100 million agreement. Netflix has defended the arrangement, noting the executives’ confidence in Meghan’s ability to drive consumer products and brand partnerships, even as the couple recalibrates its presence on the platform. Meghan’s new series has also faced scrutiny over ratings, with reports that it reached a modest placement in the Netflix charts in the weeks following its release. Separately, Spotify’s earlier partnership with Meghan was widely viewed as less successful and shorter-lived than anticipated.

As Meghan's public profile continues to expand across television, streaming, and now radio, observers say the latest discussions reflect a broader strategy to diversify her media footprint while preserving the high-profile collaborations that characterize her career. The Daily Mail's reporting on the Magic Radio talks underscores the ongoing interest in how the Duchess may translate her cultural influence into new formats and audiences.
