Meghan Markle offered DJing slot on Magic Radio after praise for station

Meghan Markle has been offered a DJing role on Magic Radio after she praised the station in her Netflix series Love, Meghan. The Telegraph reported that Magic had expressed interest in adding Meghan to its on air roster, with an offer on the table should she wish to pursue radio presenting.

Magic Radio said it had been in conversations with the Sussex team about a potential show, and the offer would stand if the former actress and duchess chose to take on the role. Paul Sylvester, Magic's content director, told a RadioCentre conference on Tuesday that there had been conversations with the Sussex camp and that there is an offer on the table for Meghan to add radio presenting to her CV. The exact financial terms were not disclosed.

Magic Radio, owned by Bauer Media, specializes in music from the 1980s onward and is among the United Kingdom's most popular networks, with about 3.6 million weekly listeners. The broadcaster has previously highlighted Meghan as someone whose tastes and public profile resonate beyond traditional royal appearances, a fact now reflected in the possible expansion of her media footprint.

The development comes as Netflix chief executive Ted Sarandos publicly praised Meghan's influence after the release of the couple's docuseries and related programming. Sarandos described Meghan as a potent driver of consumer interest, noting that the With Love, Meghan project had performed well for Netflix in terms of engagement and overall reach, even as critical reviews of the series were mixed.

With Love, Meghan returned for a second eight episode installment that critics described as uneven. The series faced a mixed reception on launch, with some reviews labeling it as staged or uneven, and it did not dominate global or domestic charts in the way its first season had. Netflix's leadership has stressed that the collaboration with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex remains a cornerstone of the platform's broader content strategy, framed as a first look deal that analysts have described as a downgrade from their prior high profile arrangement in dollar terms, though Netflix executives have defended the decision as part of a broader portfolio approach.

Meghan's broader media portfolio remains substantial. Her Netflix deal is widely reported to be worth about $100 million over multiple years, and she previously partnered with Spotify, a deal that was reportedly valued at around £15.5 million before it ended. Netflix has emphasized the cross over between Meghan's public profile and commerce, noting in particular the ability to merchandise products tied to her shows, including edible goods and items from her online shop.

The second season of With Love, Meghan has also highlighted the couple's continued engagement with audiences across various formats, including interviews and lifestyle content. While the show has drawn mixed critical responses, Netflix executives have described it as part of a diversified slate that helps drive engagement and consumer interest across the platform's ecosystem. Meghan's public profile remains high, supported by a range of appearances and collaborations that extend beyond the UK to audiences in the United States and elsewhere.

In the interim, Meghan's possible foray into radio would mark a notable expansion of her media work, aligning with a broader trend of high profile personalities exploring cross platform opportunities. A potential Magic Radio show would situate her within a station known for music nostalgia and a loyal listenership, potentially appealing to a demographic that overlaps with the audience for Meghan's existing projects. If the offer proceeds, it would add a new chapter to a career that has continued to attract significant attention since her marriage to Prince Harry and the subsequent shift to life partly in the United States.
