VidantaWorld’s BON Theme Park promises Cirque du Soleil performances, high-end dining, shopping and a luxury hotel complex as other mega-theme park plans unfold globally.

Mexico’s BON Theme Park to open as world’s first luxury, all-generations destination

A new kind of theme park is set to open next year, billed as the world’s first luxury, all-generations destination. BON Theme Park will debut in autumn at VidantaWorld Nuevo Vallarta on Mexico’s Pacific coast, with organizers promising a seamless blend of cutting-edge entertainment, natural beauty and upscale amenities. The project is described as the most luxurious and thrilling all-generations theme park, targeting visitors of all ages.

Visitors to BON Theme Park will be treated to Cirque du Soleil LUDÕ, a water-themed dinner show that aims to showcase world-famous artistry. In Wonder Bay, guests may encounter impromptu parades and laser shows that light up the night sky, according to the park’s website. The attraction is expected to feature 25 rides, including the Floresta Drop, described as a family-friendly thrill ride, and the Tempest Towers, which will plunge riders from daring heights. A luxurious BON Hotel will anchor the resort, emphasizing the project’s “Beauty of Nature,” Travel and Leisure notes.

The resort is planned as a comprehensive destination, with 25 on-site restaurants and 16 shopping options to explore within VidantaWorld. The hotel is positioned for easy access to the park, reinforcing the brand’s promise of a seamless, all-in-one experience. Iván Chávez, executive vice president of Grupo Vidanta, described BON as “the world’s first all-generations luxury destination.” He added that the collaboration with industry visionaries would set a new global standard for experiential entertainment and position VidantaWorld’s BON as a landmark destination of transformative impact.

Hospitality brand VidantaWorld already operates two beach resorts in Mexico and a mega yacht, with the new park being billed as the centerpiece of a broader luxury-entertainment ecosystem. The company’s representatives have emphasized a focus on natural beauty and high-end service, signaling a shift in how families and thrill-seekers may experience theme parks in the coming years.

The BON Theme Park project arrives as part of a wider wave of mega-park announcements globally. Last month, reports highlighted a separate £5 billion Paramount Pictures theme park set to open next year after plans for a large UK attraction were dropped last year. In Asia, Hwaseong International Theme Park is slated to open near Seoul, potentially featuring rides themed around Nickelodeon, Top Gun and Star Trek. The trend comes as the so-called Dartford Disneyland project, known as the London Resort, was officially scrapped after its developer was ordered into liquidation by the High Court in January 2025.

Together, these developments underscore a global race to create immersive, all-ages entertainment that blends luxury, technology and storytelling. As entertainment and hospitality brands expand their footprints, BON Theme Park’s promise of luxury, innovation and multi-generational appeal positions it as a high-profile signal of where the industry intends to go in the coming years.
