Olly Murs praises wife Amelia as she posts postpartum underwear photo after second child

Olly Murs publicly praised his wife, Amelia, after she posted an underwear-clad photo celebrating her postpartum body following the birth of their second child, a boy named Albert, this month. The Heart Skips A Beat singer, 41, and fitness influencer Amelia, 33, already share a 17-month-old daughter, Madison.

Amelia’s Instagram clip showed her cradling the newborn while acknowledging the body’s changes. "Thank you body for carrying life twice, giving birth and still showing up every day. Forever grateful for the way you changed to bring my two beautiful babies into the world," she wrote. "I’m proud of this version of me, and looking forward to getting fit and strong again when the time’s right." Olly commented in the post: "Two beautiful kids, one unbelievable, incredible wife x I’m a lucky lucky man xx."

Earlier this year, the couple announced Amelia’s second pregnancy in April, sharing a black-and-white family video in which Madison rode on her father’s shoulders as the family walked through a park; the little girl wore a denim jacket reading "BIG SIS" while Amelia carried a reel of baby scans. The post teased: "We're so egg-cited to share this..… Another Baby Murs on the way." The couple wed in July 2023 and welcomed their daughter in April 2024.

Olly has spoken about balancing fatherhood with work; in a previous interview he recalled leaving two days after Madison’s birth to join Take That on tour, and later tearfully admitted he felt he hadn’t bonded with his daughter as a baby. He described juggling nappies and late nights, and said he planned to be more present the second time around. Amelia has also candidly discussed the challenges of motherhood, describing the recovery from a C-section after Madison as brutal and acknowledging that parenting isn’t always "Instagrammable."

Both have continued to discuss the realities of parenting, with Olly noting that honesty is important and that being a parent is unbelievable but hard. They have previously emphasized a desire to be open about the difficulties of balancing career and family.
