Birth of daughter Scottie Rose Hewitt Davidson announced on Instagram
Pete Davidson and Elsie Hewitt welcomed their baby girl, Scottie Rose Hewitt Davidson, born Dec. 12, and announced the birth on Instagram on Thursday with a series of photos of the couple cradling the newborn.
Hewitt, 29, confirmed the pregnancy in July with a playful Instagram post joking 'now everyone knows we had sex.' The couple, who went Instagram official with their relationship in March, shared posts in which the baby's face was hidden behind a white heart emoji and celebrated their first child together.
In a follow-up post, Hewitt wrote under the photos: 'my best work yet, i am absolutely overflowing with love and gratitude and disbelief.' Davidson added: 'wu tang forever.' The baby’s face remained hidden in the initial post with a white heart emoji, and the couple described the child as their first.
The baby's first name appears to honor Davidson's late father, Scott Davidson, a New York City firefighter who died in the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks.
Davidson, 32, and Hewitt's public relationship dates to March, and Hewitt confirmed the pregnancy in July. Friends and fans flooded Hewitt's Instagram announcement with well wishes after the birth, underscoring the couple's happiness at expanding their family.
