Pregnant dancer Dianne Buswell and her Strictly Come Dancing partner Stefan Dennis were photographed stocking up on epsom bath salts for their feet during early training days, just days into rehearsals ahead of the first live show. Buswell, 36, who is expecting a baby boy due in 2026 with boyfriend Joe Sugg, shielded her baby bump beneath a black top and leggings, pairing the look with knee-high boots and a bright printed jacket. Dennis, 66, wore a white T‑shirt and grey joggers as he stepped out from rehearsal to fetch the salts.
Producers have contingency plans in place for Buswell’s pregnancy, with the BBC welfare team tasked with monitoring her health and wellbeing. A source cited by The Sun said there are several pro dancers who could step in if needed, given that the Strictly final is not until December. A Daily Mail counterpart pushed back on the report, saying the plans have long existed and that coverage of the matter was misleading.
Ahead of the show’s launch, Buswell gave fans another moment of joy as she posted a photo montage showing her in a sparkling silver dress with blue tassels, framed by blue and gold confetti. The look was completed with a silver choker, matching blue eyeliner and a bright printed jacket as she prepared for rehearsals.
Buswell and Sugg publicly announced their pregnancy in a clip set to Elton John’s Tiny Dancer, revealing the baby is a boy and due in 2026. Sugg wrote on Instagram, Our little baby boy we cannot wait to meet you.” The couple, who began dating after being paired on Strictly in 2018, have previously discussed starting a family and highlighted their excitement about becoming parents.
Buswell, who won the Glitterball Trophy last year with partner Chris McCausland, is part of a 2025 Strictly lineup that features a mix of athletes, actors and reality stars. Among the lineup are Vicky Pattison, Dani Dyer and Ellie Goldstein, underscoring the show’s blend of sports, entertainment and online fame as it heads into a new season.
