Prince Harry recalled losing it over his excitement during a Disney World visit with his late mother Princess Diana and older brother Prince William, sharing the memory in a 20/20 special The Happiest Story On Earth: 70 Years Of Disneyland, which aired Sunday.

The Duke of Sussex, 41, and Meghan Markle, 42, who tied the knot in 2018, recently enjoyed a Disneyland trip with their two children, Archie and Lilibet, in June.

When Harry was eight, he joined his mother and William on a trip to Disney World in Florida in 1993. "I remember it very, very well. I remember losing it as a kid with all the characters. Like, losing it," he recalled. Meghan said that while Disneyland was more accessible to her as a Southern California native, it remained "the biggest treat in the world." She also recalled going to Disneyland for grad night during high school, with Harry joking, "That sounds like a lot of fun. Can you do that in your forties?"

Harry talked about their recent Disneyland visit earlier this year to celebrate Lilibet's fourth birthday. "They're like, 'This is amazing!'" the father of two recalled of his children's reaction before entering the main park. He added that watching the kids throw themselves into experiences they don't yet fully understand "was amazing. It brings out the kid in you again."

Meghan posted a video montage on Instagram from the two-day outing, showing the family on rides and enjoying treats. A clip showed Lilibet and Archie meeting Disney princess Elsa from Frozen, while other footage included Dumbo, the Cars ride and Space Mountain moments that placed the couple at the front of a ride. The Little Mermaid–themed cake marked Lilibet's fourth birthday in Meghan's post.

The 20/20 trailer for The Happiest Story On Earth: 70 Years Of Disneyland also featured other celebrities, including Jamie Lee Curtis, Neil Patrick Harris and Jon Favreau. The special aired as the couple made a pair of public appearances, including a surprise joint appearance at Kevin Costner's One805LIVE! charity event in Santa Barbara, and as Harry and Meghan's calendar has included recent in-person moments with King Charles in London.

Meghan wore a sleeveless, dark navy dress and pumps at the Santa Barbara event, while Harry wore a black button-up shirt with matching trousers and a blazer. The couple mingled with first responders and other guests before addressing the crowd from the stage. The appearance came just weeks after Harry reunited with his father for the first time in 18 months during a face-to-face meeting in London.

The couple’s schedule has continued to blend philanthropic commitments with high-profile appearances, underscoring their ongoing public focus on family moments and charitable work even as questions about royal roles and futures persist.
