Ray J Claims He’s Helping Feds Build a RICO Case Against Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner

Ray J is making waves in entertainment news after claiming on a livestream that he’s working with federal investigators to build a RICO case against Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner. In a video clip circulating on X, the singer said, "The federal RICO I’m about to drop on Kris and Kim is about to be crazy," adding that he would be on the news every day and that, "the feds is coming. There’s nothing I can do about it." He also characterized the claim as, "It’s worse than Diddy." Reps for Kardashian, Jenner and Ray J did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

RICO, the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, is a federal statute typically used to prosecute organized-crime and racketeering networks. The claim comes as broader legal headlines involving figures in Kardashian-Jenner circles have dominated tabloid and entertainment coverage. In July, Sean “Diddy” Combs was found guilty in a federal trial of transportation to engage in prostitution, while not guilty on a more serious set of charges including racketeering; he is scheduled to be sentenced on Oct. 3. The juxtaposition of such charges with Ray J’s assertion adds to the ongoing public fascination with this high-profile family and their associates.

This isn’t the first time Ray J has floated the idea of legal action targeting Kardashian and Jenner. In May, during discussions about the then-pending RICO charges against Combs, Ray J suggested that charges against the Kardashians for racketeering might be plausible, saying he might believe it. The remarks came amid broader speculation about the Kardashian clan’s ties to legal scrutiny in various narratives surrounding their reality-television empire.

In September 2022, Ray J also publicly challenged Jenner after she claimed, under a lie-detector test, that she did not release the sex tape he made with Kardashian. He responded with a highly visible, highly charged post in which he accused Jenner of wrongdoing and asserted that the situation had impacted his life significantly. The 2007 sex-tape history between Ray J and Kim Kardashian has long been a focal point of media coverage and public debate about the family.

The public record on the matter remains sparse regarding any corroborating evidence for Ray J’s latest accusation. Reps for Kardashian, Jenner and Ray J did not respond to requests for comment from Page Six, and there has been no independent confirmation of federal involvement in a RICO investigation against the Kardashian-Jenner matriarch or Kim Kardashian herself. Legal observers caution that RICO claims require substantial evidence of an ongoing criminal enterprise, a standard that is not met by a single social-media assertion.

The dynamic surrounding the Kardashians’ fame, their business ventures, and their public personas continues to intersect with legal considerations and intense media scrutiny. As separate federal cases unfold in other entertainment-industry circles, the current claim by Ray J underscores the ongoing public fascination with the family and the ways in which past relationships and disputes are revisited in headlines. The entertainment press will continue to monitor any new information or official statements as this story develops.
