The influencer and her 63-year-old mother model for a hair-styling tools campaign, drawing praise from fans online

Rebecca Judd has teamed up with her mother, Kerry Twigley, for a glamorous new campaign for Mermade Hair, the styling-tools brand. The 42-year-old influencer and fashion designer shared a video on Instagram on Wednesday in which both she and Twigley modelled the brand’s rollers and styling products. In the caption, Judd recalled growing up watching her mother “set her curls before every big moment” and noted, “Today we did it together – same ritual, smarter rollers.”
Fans reacted with enthusiasm in the comments, with many complimenting the mother-daughter duo and the lookalike resemblance. Nadia Bartel, Judd’s close friend, chimed in to praise Twigley and the campaign, while others wrote messages such as “Obsessed with your mum,” “Kezzy! This is so gorgeous ladies,” and “Gorgeous girls.” The post underscored the rising interest in Judd’s family connections and the public’s fascination with Twigley’s youthful appearance.
Twigley — who is New Zealand-born and of Māori heritage — moved to Australia in the late 1970s with her then-husband Hugh Twigley to pursue work opportunities in Western Australia’s mining sector. She works as a fly-in, fly-out (FIFO) worker at Fortescue’s Cloudbreak mine in the Pilbara region, and she frequently shares photographs of her life driving dump trucks and other mining-related duties on social media. Judd has described Twigley as a constant source of inspiration for her own appearance and confidence, telling Stellar magazine in 2023 that her mother’s career and presence were “cool” and influential.
The pair’s public appearance in the hair campaign sits within a broader narrative about Judd’s family. Twigley is also mother to Judd’s younger sister, Kate Twigley. Earlier this year, Judd revealed she had moved her mother into her Brighton, Melbourne, mansion, a property valued at about $7.3 million. Twigley has been seen cooking meals for Judd, Judd’s husband, Chris Judd, and their four children — Oscar, 14; Billie, 11; and twins Tom and Darcy, nine — reinforcing the close-knit nature of the Judd family. Judd has described the arrangement as a source of daily support, noting that her mother’s cooking and presence help “keep Australia moving.”
The Judds’ connection dates back to their teenage years, when they reportedly met at a pub in Perth. The couple later wed on December 31, 2010, in Melbourne’s Albert Park, a union that has helped anchor Judd’s public profile as both a fashion designer and media personality in Australia.
