Pop star and music producer wed in California in front of about 170 guests, including Taylor Swift, Paul Rudd, and the cast of Gomez's Only Murders in the Building
Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco have married in a ceremony in Santa Barbara, California, the couple's representatives confirmed. Gomez posted on Instagram that she wore a white halter-neck wedding gown while Blanco appeared in a dark tuxedo, with a caption that included the numbers 9.27.26 and heart icons. Vogue reported that the vows were exchanged on Saturday in front of roughly 170 guests, including Taylor Swift, Paul Rudd, and Gomez's Only Murders in the Building co-stars Steve Martin and Martin Short. Blanco wrote in response that she is his wife in real life.
The couple became engaged in December 2024 after about a year of dating and have collaborated on several music projects since. In March they released the album I Said I Love You First, a project that traces their relationship. The duo have previously released hits such as Same Old Love and Kill Em with Kindness, and the 2019 track I Can't Get Enough featuring Tainy and J Balvin.
Gomez rose to fame as the star of the Disney Channel series Wizards of Waverly Place before pursuing music in the 2000s. She has since racked up multiple UK top 10 singles and recently starred in the film Emilia Perez as Jessica Del Monte. Blanco released his solo studio album Friends Keep Secrets in 2018 and has produced records for Katy Perry, Britney Spears and Kesha.
The wedding underscores the public arc of a long collaboration between two artists whose professional partnership has mirrored their personal relationship. Friends and industry colleagues described a celebration that reflected the couple's creative dynamic, with attendees from across the entertainment world.
