Starbucks brings back Apple Crisp for fall limited-time comeback
Apple Crisp returns nationwide on Oct. 14 with Iced Apple Crisp Oatmilk Shaken Espresso, Apple Crisp Cream Cold Foam and a new Apple Crisp Protein Cold Foam, as fans celebrate a long-awaited flavor revival.

Starbucks says Apple Crisp will return nationwide on Oct. 14 for a limited time while supplies last, reviving a fan-favorite flavor for the fall season. The lineup includes the Iced Apple Crisp Oatmilk Shaken Espresso, Apple Crisp Cream Cold Foam and a new Apple Crisp Protein Cold Foam. The company did not initially include the Apple Crisp flavor on its August fall menu, prompting a wave of fan outcry before the announcement of the comeback.
Starbucks announced the comeback on Instagram, where fans flooded the comments with nostalgic pleas and messages that it wouldn’t feel like fall without the flavor. The beverage chain confirmed that the Apple Crisp items would be back nationwide starting Oct. 14 for a limited time while supplies last. The Iced Apple Crisp Oatmilk Shaken Espresso is built around Starbucks Blonde Espresso with notes of apple, cinnamon and brown sugar, shaken with oat milk. The Apple Crisp Cream Cold Foam and Apple Crisp Protein Cold Foam can be added to any cold beverage, with the protein version delivering 15 grams of protein to a grande drink. The Apple Crisp Protein Cold Foam will launch two weeks after the nationwide rollout of Starbucks’ Protein Lattes and Protein Cold Foam on Sept. 29, following a test at five locations in the United States.
The broader fall menu also features a range of pumpkin flavors, including the Pumpkin Spice Latte, the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew, Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai and a Pecan Oatmilk Latte, plus a new Pecan Oatmilk Cortado and Italian Sausage Egg Bites. Starbucks says the Apple Crisp flavor has appeared on seasonal menus in prior years, including the Apple Crisp Macchiato debuting in 2021, and the company is now honoring fans’ requests with a limited-time return this fall.
The Apple Crisp Macchiato first appeared in 2021 and has popped up in past autumn lineups. For those seeking more protein-forward options, Starbucks rolled out Protein Cold Foams and Protein Lattes on Sept. 29, with plans to make the protein foams permanent as part of a broader expansion of its protein-boosted beverages. Each Protein Cold Foam comes in multiple flavors, including vanilla, chocolate, matcha, banana, brown sugar, salted caramel and sugar-free vanilla, delivering 15 to 36 grams of protein per grande, depending on the drink.

Fans greeted the news online with enthusiasm and relief. Social media posts celebrated Apple Crisp’s return, with commentators describing it as a must-have for the season and expressing gratitude that the flavor was finally back on menus nationwide.
In sum, Starbucks’ fall lineup remains heavy on pumpkin themed items, but Apple Crisp’s comeback adds a long-mavored flavor to a season that has historically balanced nostalgic treats with new protein-forward options. While the Apple Crisp flavors are described as limited-time, the company did not specify a definitive end date beyond the “while supplies last” caveat, leaving some fans hopeful for a longer future in subsequent menus.
