Stefanie Powers, 82, the longtime star of the ABC mystery series Hart to Hart, was spotted in Los Angeles this week in a casual, sporty outfit that included a black T-shirt and vibrant patterned leggings. The sighting offered fans a rare glimpse of the actress who became a staple of television's glamour in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Hart to Hart followed glamorous couple Jonathan and Jennifer Hart, played by Powers and Robert Wagner, as they juggled high society life with amateur detective work. The series ran for five seasons from 1979 to 1984 and later spawned eight TV movies in the 1990s, cementing Powers and Wagner as a beloved TV duo. Powers' look on this outing stood in contrast to her red carpet days, yet her distinct, fiery red hair remains recognizable to fans who remember her from popular guest roles on The Rockford Files, The Six Million Dollar Man, and The Bionic Woman.

In addition to Hart to Hart, Powers built a versatile career in film and television. She appeared in Escape to Athena (1979) opposite a star-studded ensemble that included Roger Moore, Telly Savalas, David Niven, Sonny Bono and Elliott Gould. Her early work spanned The Girl from U.N.C.L.E., a 1966 breakout as April Dancer, as well as family-friendly fare such as The Boatniks (1970) and Herbie Rides Again (1974). The Magnificent Seven Ride! (1972) added a western capstone to a resume that would extend well into the 1980s, linking Powers with a range of genres and audiences. The actress' signature red hair and poised screen presence remained a constant through those years, helping to define a generation of television and film starlets.

Powers' personal life also drew significant attention, most notably her romance with Oscar-winning actor William Holden. Powers dated Holden from 1972 until his death in 1981; she has described the relationship as soul-stirring despite their 25-year age difference. After Holden's death, Powers established the William Holden Wildlife Foundation in 1982, a charitable effort focused on conservation in Kenya. She was previously married to actor Gary Lockwood from 1966 to 1972 and later wed French aristocrat Patrick Houitte de La Chesnais in 1993, a marriage that lasted until 1999.

In later years, Powers continued to engage with television audiences, including a turn on the reality competition I’m a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! in 2011. She has remained a recognizable figure to fans of Hart to Hart and classic 1970s and 1980s television, often cited for maintaining a vibrant public presence long after her prime on screen.
