Tom Holland makes first public appearance since on-set injury, supported by Zendaya at charity night

Tom Holland has made his first public appearance since suffering a concussion on the set of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, attending a family charity quiz night in Mayfair on Sunday. The outing came two days after he was reportedly rushed to hospital following a stunt on the Leavesden Studios lot in Watford, where filming for the £150 million Marvel movie was suspended as he received medical care.

The British actor, 29, appeared in good spirits at the Christie's auction house event, dressed in black tie, and was photographed with his partner, Zendaya, who wore a black gown. Holland’s father, Dominic Holland, was also on hand for the charity evening, which supported The Brothers Trust, the charity that Tom runs with his three brothers, Sam, Harry and Paddy.

The charity night, described as the third annual Posh Pub Quiz, was staged at Christie’s in London and raised funds for the brothers’ charity work. Holland served as quizmaster, taking questions from attendees as part of the fundraising effort. Zendaya was among those pictured with him during the event, and prizes included experiences such as a round of golf with the actor.

The Brothers Trust uses Tom Holland’s public profile to host a series of events each year, with the proceeds distributed to a number of beneficiary charities. The organization’s website notes the goal of leveraging Tom’s reach to drive support for causes the Holland family supports.

Two days before the charity night, a source told The Sun that Holland was rushed to hospital after a fall during a stunt on the Leavesden set. An East of England Ambulance Service spokesperson said they were called at 10:30 a.m. on Friday to attend to a patient at Leavesden Studios in Watford, and the patient was transported to hospital for further care. The incident prompted a pause in Spider-Man: Brand New Day production and left open the question of when filming would resume.

Zendaya, who is also part of the film’s cast, attended the charity event and appeared alongside Holland in photos shared by family members. The couple have been in a busy period of work together, including their ongoing collaboration on The Odyssey, Christopher Nolan’s retelling of Homer’s epic, in which they are set to star. The pair have previously shared screen time in the Spider-Man franchise and have recently been seen filming in various locations, including Glasgow, where streets were transformed to resemble New York for the sequel.

Industry observers note that the Spider-Man 4 release date had been moved to July 31, 2026, though studio plans could shift again in light of the recent accident and Holland’s recovery timeline. While the studio has not publicly specified a new production schedule, the incident has further delayed a project already dealing with a complex production timetable and a high fan expectation for the franchise’s next installment.

In the broader context of Holland’s workload, the actor remains one of the most visible figures in contemporary superhero cinema, with fans following updates not just on Spider-Man but also on his other projects. Zendaya’s continued presence in his side of the press tour and promotions underscores the couple’s shared professional profile as they navigate a busy slate that includes major upcoming releases and a long-standing collaboration that now extends beyond the Spider-Man universe.
