Tom Holland, Zendaya face £1,000-a-day security bill as fans swarm West London home after on-set Spider-Man injury

Tom Holland and Zendaya are reportedly spending about £1,000 a day on security after fans began turning up at their West London home for selfies and autographs, a situation that followed Holland’s on-set injury on the latest Spider-Man project. The couple, who confirmed their engagement earlier this year, have said they want a normal life, but autograph hunters remain drawn to their residence near the capital.

The pair are said to be living at a £3 million home in west London and have seen crowds gather at their gates in the wake of filming activity nearby. Neighbours and tabloid reports noted that a security guard is now stationed outside the property, a measure described as precautionary to deter unsanctioned visits while the couple tries to maintain privacy. The Daily Mail reported chatter from locals that while the guard is approachable, he is a tall, imposing presence designed to deter unsolicited visits.

On the film side, Holland’s on-set injury prompted a pause in production on Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the fourth film in what is described as the Multi Cinematic Universe. Paramedics were called to Leavesden Studios in Watford last Friday after a line on a pull ring snapped, resulting in a bump to Holland’s head. He was transported to hospital for further observation, and producers temporarily halted filming with a two-week stand-down period so the actor could recover from a suspected concussion. A spokesperson for the East Of England Ambulance Service confirmed it attended the scene and treated the patient before transport.

Industry briefings indicate the disruption is costly. The Daily Mail cited insiders estimating the shutdown could run the film up to £1.5 million per day in ongoing costs, including crew wages, studio space, and equipment rental, even as shooting is paused. In Big-Budget terms, Spider-Man: Brand New Day is widely reported to carry a roughly $200 million budget, or about £150 million, raising the stakes for keeping production on track during a standstill. Observers said the financial hit compounds the complexity of coordinating a blockbuster release on schedule.

While the exact timeline can shift with safety concerns and health considerations, insiders have said the team remains hopeful to resume filming and maintain a plan for a July 2026 release date. Industry sources cautioned that the pause places additional pressure on schedules, crews, and logistics, with many costs continuing even when cameras are idle. Representatives for Holland and Zendaya did not offer comment at publication time, and the studios have not issued a formal update beyond the information circulating in press circles.
