A small transdermal patch marketed to support relaxation and sleep has sold out multiple times in Australia as customers report improved rest and the maker expands its range of wearable wellness products.

BonPatch said its SLEEP patch has sold out six times since launch and become the company’s top seller, with some customers buying boxes in bulk. The Sydney-founded brand, launched in 2023 by entrepreneur Nicole O’Neil, markets the peel-and-stick product as delivering a blend of natural botanicals through the skin to help users fall asleep and stay asleep.

The SLEEP patch is sold in multiple quantities: from about $8 for a two-patch pack, $15 for six patches, and $50 for a 30-pack, which the company says equates to roughly $1.65 per patch. BonPatch also offers a JETSET bundle combining 30 SLEEP and 30 VITALITY patches for $75, a package the company describes as a $25 discount and which it says temporarily includes a complimentary sleep mask.

Company information and product labels state the SLEEP patch contains a formulation of Valerian Extract (40.28 percent), Passion Flower Extract (13.27 percent), Hops Extract (13.27 percent) and Hemp Extract (33.18 percent), and is infused with a lavender scent. The latex-free adhesive patch is designed for up to 12 hours of wear; users are instructed to apply it before bedtime and remove it in the morning. The brand advises avoiding driving or operating heavy machinery while wearing SLEEP and says any adhesive residue can be removed with soap or baby oil.

BonPatch said customer response has been strong, including repeat purchases and testimonials. The company cited one customer who bought 22 boxes of patches in under a year. Published customer comments on retailer pages included accounts of falling asleep faster, reduced nighttime waking and waking without grogginess. BonPatch describes the delivery method as transdermal, a gradual-release approach intended to provide sustained exposure to the active botanical extracts through the skin.

The maker positions SLEEP as part of a broader product line aimed at daily wellbeing. A daytime VITALITY patch, also sold as a 30-pack for $50, contains ingredients such as caffeine anhydrous, taurine, glucuronolactone, green tea extract and B vitamins and is described as providing a steady boost with a peppermint aroma. Other products in the range include patches marketed as CLARITY, RELAX, GLOW, LOVE and DETOX, each formulated for different wellness aims, BonPatch said.

Founder Nicole O’Neil, who has a public profile through reality television, said she developed the patches after seeking “something simple, natural and effective” that would fit into a busy life and help manage sleep and travel-related wellbeing. O’Neil said the JETSET bundle was inspired by frequent travel between Sydney, New York and London and aimed to provide a flexible alternative to stimulants and sedatives that can leave users wired or groggy.

The company said it researched transdermal technology with manufacturers and chemists over several years before releasing products it considered effective. BonPatch’s website and product materials state the patches are intended for therapeutic use only and do not replace a balanced diet. The company advises consulting a medical professional before use if trying to conceive, pregnant or breastfeeding.

Medical experts note that while some botanical ingredients such as valerian have historical and clinical use for sleep, evidence on efficacy and safety varies and depends on formulation and dose. Transdermal delivery can alter the way compounds are absorbed compared with oral supplements, and individuals can experience differing effects and potential skin reactions. Consumers with underlying health conditions or who take prescription medications are commonly advised to check with healthcare providers before using new supplements or delivery methods.

Retail and customer demand for wearable wellness products has grown in recent years, with several companies promoting patches, inhalers and topical formulations as alternatives to pills and drinks. BonPatch’s sales performance and repeat sell-outs reflect that trend in the Australian market, the company said, while also highlighting ongoing consumer interest in nonpharmaceutical options for sleep and daytime energy.

BonPatch recommends users follow product instructions and warns customers that SLEEP should not be used as a substitute for medical treatment of sleep disorders. The company’s stated pricing, ingredient percentages and promotional offers are listed on its website and on product packaging.
