Georgia Toffolo opens up about relentless acne battle at age 30
Former Made In Chelsea star says progress doesn't mean perfection as she shares a candid Instagram clip about lifelong skin struggles

Georgia Toffolo, 30, has spoken about the relentless reality of living with acne, sharing a candid clip to Instagram on Monday. The former Made In Chelsea star has battled spots and scarring since her teens, describing it as her biggest struggle.
She said the past six months had brought a new wave of ups and downs, with her skin fluctuations feeling all-consuming at times. She posted a montage of flare-ups and said her skin troubles directly affect how she feels about herself. She told followers, "I want to be honest with you all. My skin has always been my biggest struggle. Looking back through my skin diary from the past few months, the ups and downs are relentless. Some days it feels all-consuming and I never thought that at thirty I'd still be battling acne. But what I have learnt is that progress doesn't mean perfect."
Georgia has long been open with fans about her skin, and in May she acknowledged that flare-ups had knocked her confidence, sharing a makeup-free selfie to show her real skin without concealer. She has previously said her stint on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! marked the start of a journey toward embracing her natural skin, noting that makeup is not allowed in the jungle. The star went on to win the show and said she was nervous about appearing without makeup, thinking her skin would be better, but it wasn’t. Over the years, she has said that stress appears to be connected to flare-ups.
She has said that discussing her skin publicly helped her overcome some insecurities. She recounted a recent feature on This Morning where she removed her makeup to speak openly about acne, adding that she faced harsh comments online but that facing them changed the dynamic: "I looked down the barrel of the camera. I said some of the nasty things that I've read across socials, and it had such an impact." The NHS notes that the majority of people stop experiencing acne in their 20s, but about 3% of the population continue to have it past age 35.
Her candor adds to a broader conversation about skin health, social media, and self-image, particularly as public discourse about chronic conditions and beauty standards evolves in 2025.
