Laura Tott reveals gestational diabetes in second pregnancy as she nears third trimester
Former First Dates waitress says she has gestational diabetes again; baby Clarke Number 2 due December 2025 as she posts a motherhood update

Laura Tott, the former First Dates waitress, has revealed she is experiencing gestational diabetes in her second pregnancy. The 29-year-old is expecting her second child and says she is nearing the third trimester, with just over 12 weeks remaining until the December 2025 due date.
In an Instagram update posted Friday, Tott showed her baby bump in a black jumpsuit and shared a candid look at how the pregnancy has progressed. She noted that sickness had eased in recent weeks, but that she has since been making up for it by eating more. 'A little pregnancy update. Oh we've popped! Nearly in the third trimester now,' she wrote, adding that second-time round pregnancies can leave her unsure of where she is in the timeline while juggling a toddler.
The update confirmed a gestational diabetes diagnosis, with Tott writing that she was told yesterday and that the condition could influence delivery plans. She said she is praying the diagnosis does not affect her delivery choice and is hopeful for a VBAC, or vaginal birth after cesarean, this time around. Just over 12 weeks remain until her baby is due.
Tott first announced in June that she and her husband—whose identity she has kept private—were expecting their second child. The couple, who wed in August 2022, are already parents to son Leo, who is about 25 months old. In June, she shared a photo of Leo and a scan, noting that life was about to get 'crazier' with Baby Clarke Number 2 on the way.
Before becoming a paramedic, Tott worked in hospitality and rose to fame on First Dates, the Channel 4 dating show hosted by Fred Sirieix. In 2019 she shifted careers to become a fully registered paramedic. She stepped back from the show after filming moved north to Manchester in 2021 and has since maintained that she may return to the series in the future, though she has concentrated on her growing family and medical career.
Her wedding in 2022, held on a Devon beach, featured flowing imagery of a veil and a romantic ceremony captured by Inbetween Days Photography. The couple’s public sharing of milestones has been measured; while their engagement and wedding were celebrated online, they have kept certain details private, focusing publicly on family life and milestone events.
As she navigates this pregnancy, Tott has spoken openly about the realities of managing gestational diabetes while preparing for another child and a potential VBAC. Health guidance for gestational diabetes typically includes diet monitoring, glucose checks, and regular prenatal care, with delivery plans tailored to the health of both mother and baby. Followers have offered messages of support as they watch her journey unfold.
