Low-cost sleep patch from BonPatch sells out repeatedly as shoppers report better rest
A transdermal 'SLEEP' patch marketed by BonPatch has sold out multiple times in Australia as customers report improved sleep; the company says the wearable delivers botanical extracts through the skin and is intended for therapeutic use.

A low-cost adhesive sleep patch from Australian wellness company BonPatch has sold out repeatedly after customers described noticeable improvements to their sleep, the company and media reports said.
BonPatch’s SLEEP patch has sold out six times since its launch, and the brand said some purchasers buy boxes in bulk when it restocks. The product is sold in small packs priced from A$8 for two patches, A$15 for six and A$50 for a 30-pack — a per-patch cost of about A$1.65. The company also offers a 60-patch “JETSET” bundle combining SLEEP and its daytime VITALITY patch for A$75, which it says reduces the unit price further and, for a limited time, includes a complimentary sleep mask.
The peel-and-stick patch is described by BonPatch as a transdermal delivery product that releases a blend of botanical extracts through the skin over up to 12 hours. The company provided a formulation breakdown showing Valerian extract at about 40.28 percent, Hemp extract at 33.18 percent, and both Passion Flower and Hops extracts at roughly 13.27 percent each. The patches are latex-free, infused with a lavender scent and are intended to support relaxation and a restful night’s sleep, BonPatch says.
BonPatch recommends applying a SLEEP patch before bed and removing it in the morning. The company advises against driving or operating heavy machinery while wearing the patch and notes adhesive residue can be removed with soap or baby oil. The brand also cautions that its patches are for therapeutic use only and do not replace a balanced diet; it advises consumers to consult a medical professional before use if they are trying to conceive, pregnant or breastfeeding.
Customer testimonials cited in media coverage credited the patch with faster sleep onset, fewer nocturnal awakenings and reduced morning grogginess. Daily Mail Australia published several customer comments, including one reader who said the product had "changed my whole sleep routine" and another who reported they "finally got a good night's sleep" after years of difficulty falling and staying asleep. BonPatch told media that one devoted customer purchased 22 boxes in less than a year.
BonPatch, launched in 2023 by entrepreneur Nicole O'Neil, markets a range of wearable wellness patches. In addition to SLEEP, the product line includes VITALITY, formulated with caffeine anhydrous, taurine, glucuronolactone, green tea extract and B-vitamins and intended for daytime energy and focus; CLARITY, for cognitive support; RELAX, for calmness; GLOW, for skin support; LOVE, for libido and mood; and DETOX. The VITALITY patch is offered in the same 30-pack price tier as SLEEP, A$50, according to company pricing.
O'Neil, who has appeared on Real Housewives of Sydney, said she developed the patches after seeking natural, discreet options for energy, focus and rest while travelling and balancing work and family life. She told media the product development process involved research into transdermal technology and collaboration with manufacturers and chemists to refine formulas used in the patches.
BonPatch markets its transdermal approach as a gradual, steady-release alternative to oral supplements and stimulants. The company frames the JETSET bundle as a travel-oriented pair that allows users to remove a SLEEP patch and replace it with VITALITY as needed for time zone changes or post-flight activity.
The product’s repeated sell-outs and customer endorsements reflect growing consumer interest in over-the-counter sleep aids and wearable wellness products, but BonPatch’s marketing materials and media coverage stop short of presenting clinical trial evidence of efficacy. The company’s own statements and the media reports present user experiences and product specifications rather than randomized clinical data.
Consumers considering transdermal botanical products should consult healthcare professionals if they have existing medical conditions, are taking other medications, or are pregnant or breastfeeding. BonPatch’s packaging and online information include the company’s usage recommendations and the advisory to seek medical advice where appropriate.
