AJ Lee to Appear on WWE Monday Night Raw; Tonight’s Episode Returns to 8 p.m. ET
Raw emanates from Milwaukee’s Fiserv Forum with announced matches and a scheduled AJ Lee appearance ahead of WWE’s Wrestlepalooza.
AJ Lee is scheduled to appear on Monday Night Raw on Monday night, WWE announced, as the flagship show emanates from the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Raw will return to its regular 8:00 p.m. ET start time for the September 8 episode after several weeks of special start times. WWE has said the show will move to a new 7:00 p.m. ET start beginning with next week’s episode.
The appearance follows Lee’s surprise return on Friday’s SmackDown, where she received a hometown reception in Chicago and confronted Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch. WWE has also announced that tag team wrestlers Jimmy and Jey Uso will appear on tonight’s Raw.
Two matches have been confirmed for the Milwaukee card: AJ Styles versus El Grande Americano, and Lyra Valkyria versus Raquel Rodriguez. Adam Pearce, WWE’s senior official, announced Lee’s scheduled appearance during promotional build-up for the show.
WWE will stage its inaugural Wrestlepalooza event on Sept. 20 on ESPN’s new direct-to-consumer service. WWE programming has been shifting schedules since the move to Netflix for Monday Night Raw earlier this year; viewers can stream Raw on Netflix through the service’s subscription plans.
Netflix subscription options range from an ad-supported tier to ad-free plans; current monthly pricing for the ad-supported tier starts at $7.99, with ad-free options available at higher price points. WWE has promoted the new distribution arrangement and the tie-in to upcoming premium events as part of its fall schedule.
Tonight’s Raw will air live from the Fiserv Forum at 8 p.m. ET on Netflix, with further programming and storyline developments expected to build toward Wrestlepalooza later this month.
